Την απευθείας σύνδεση της Θεσσαλονίκης με τη Φρανκφούρτη, με δύο πτήσεις την εβδομάδα, προσθέτει στο χειμερινό πρόγραμμά της για το 2018 η Lufthansa. Το νέο δρομολόγιο θα ξεκινήσει στις 28 Οκτωβρίου και θα εκτελείται κάθε Παρασκευή και Κυριακή. Τα εισιτήρια διατίθενται, ήδη, προς κράτηση είτε μέσω των συνεργαζόμενων ταξιδιωτικών πρακτορείων, είτε μέσα από την ιστοσελίδα της εταιρείας Lufthansa.com.
«Η Θεσσαλονίκη έχει σημειώσει σημαντική πρόοδο ως τουριστικός προορισμός. Εκτός από την προσωπικότητα που έχει ως πόλη, την κουλτούρα της, τη γαστρονομία και τη διασκέδαση που προσφέρει, αποτελεί ιδανική αφετηρία για πεζοπορίες και εξερεύνηση της Βόρειας Ελλάδας ή πέρασμα στη νοτιοανατολική Χαλκιδική. Βασιζόμενοι στα οικονομικά δεδομένα, στην αγορά ταξιδιών στη Βόρεια Ελλάδα, στις εμπορικές και επιχειρηματικές σχέσεις με τη Γερμανία, καθώς και στη μετακίνηση τουριστών ανάμεσα στην Ελλάδα και στη Γερμανία είχαμε αναπτύξει μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον για την επαναφορά του δρομολογίου Θεσσαλονίκη-Φρανκφούρτη. Είμαστε πολύ χαρούμενοι που το ενδιαφέρον αυτό μετουσιώθηκε σε απόφαση για την περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη του Ομίλου Lufthansa στην περιοχή» σημείωσε ο γενικός διευθυντής Πωλήσεων του Ομίλου Lufthansa για την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο, Κωνσταντίνος Τζεβελέκος.

Eπίσης, ακόμα δύο αεροπορικές εταιρείες του Ομίλου Lufthansa, η Austrian Airlines και η Eurowings, θα προσφέρουν πτήσεις τη φετινή χειμερινή περίοδο από τη Θεσσαλονίκη προς δημοφιλείς προορισμούς στη Γερμανία και την Αυστρία.
Σημειώνεται, ότι για τη φετινή καλοκαιρινή περίοδο οι αεροπορικές εταιρείες του Ομίλου Lufthansa -SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings και Brussels Airlines- προσφέρουν 52 πτήσεις την εβδομάδα από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, συνδέοντας τη συμπρωτεύουσα με τη Ζυρίχη, τη Γενεύη, τη Βιέννη, το Γκρατς, την Κολωνία, το Ντίσελντορφ, το Ανόβερο, το Αμβούργο, το Μόναχο, τη Στουτγάρδη και τις Βρυξέλλες

Η Δυτική Ελλάδα Τιμώμενη Περιφέρεια στην 34^η Philoxenia

Η Δυτική Ελλάδα ορίστηκε να αποτελέσει την Τιμώμενη Περιφέρεια στην 34^ηδιεθνής έκθεση τουρισμού Philoxenia, κατόπιν σχετικής πρωτοβουλίας που ανέλαβε η ΔΕΘ-Helexpο, προκειμένου να αναδειχθούν τα τουριστικά πλεονεκτήματα της συγκεκριμένης περιοχής.

Το γεγονός αυτό θα αποτελέσει ένα ακόμη μεγάλο βήμα για την τουριστική προβολή της Δυτικής Ελλάδας, σημείωσε ο Περιφερειάρχης Δυτικής Ελλάδας κ. Απόστολος Κατσιφάρας.

Κατά τη διάρκεια συνέντευξης τύπου χθες στην Πάτρα, ο κ. Κατσιφάρας ανακοίνωσε τον ορισμό της Δυτικής Ελλάδας ως Τιμώμενης Περιφέρειας στην Philoxenia, η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 9-11 Νοεμβρίου 2018 στο Διεθνές Εκθεσιακό Κέντρο Θεσσαλονίκης.

Ο Περιφερειάρχης παρέθεσε τις πρωτοβουλίες, που υλοποιούνται στο τουριστικό πεδίο στην Δυτική Ελλάδα, μεταξύ των οποίων περιλαμβάνεται και η αναβαθμισμένη συμμετοχή στην Philoxenia.

Από την πλευρά του ο Πρόεδρος της ΔΕΘ-Helexpo κ. Τάσος Τζήκας, υπογράμμισε ότι η Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας θα έχει την δυνατότητα ως Τιμώμενη Περιφέρεια να έρθει σε επαφή στο πλαίσιο της Philoxenia με hosted buyers και tour-operators, προκειμένου να διευρύνει τους τουριστικούς «ορίζοντες» της σε διεθνές επίπεδο και να αυξήσει την αναγνωρισιμότητα της.

«Η Ελλάδα είναι μία παγκόσμια τουριστική δύναμη και η Philoxenia είναι το σημαντικότερο εκθεσιακό τουριστικό brand-name, μέσω του οποίου η Δυτική Ελλάδα μπορεί να προσεγγίσει αγορές όπως των Βαλκανίων, της Ν.Α. Ευρώπης, αλλά και της υπόλοιπης χώρας» τόνισε ο κ. Τζήκας.

Ο Αντιπεριφερειάρχης Περιφερειακής Ανάπτυξης και Επιχειρηματικότητας κ. Κωνσταντίνος Καρπέτας, επισήμανε ότι στην Δυτική Ελλάδα ενώνουν τις δυνάμεις τους η Περιφέρεια, η Ολυμπία Οδός, η Γέφυρα ΑΕ και η Ιονία Οδός, προκειμένου να ενδυναμωθεί και να προωθηθεί το τουριστικό αποτύπωμα της περιοχής στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Ο κ. Καρπέτας τόνισε πως για την ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού η Περιφέρεια έχει δημιουργήσει εργαλεία marketing και επικοινωνίας, συμμετέχει σε τουριστικές εκθέσεις, λειτουργεί καινούργια γραφεία τουριστικής πληροφόρησης στο λιμάνι της Πάτρας και στο αεροδρόμιο του Αράξου, προγραμματίζει να υλοποιήσει ανάλογα γραφεία στα λιμάνια της Κυλλήνης και του Κατάκολου κτλ.

Χαιρετισμό στην συνέντευξη απηύθυνε και ο αναπληρωτής γενικός διευθυντής της ΔΕΘ-Helexpo κ. Αλέξης Τσαξιρλής, καθώς και εκπρόσωποι της Ιονίας Οδού, της Ολυμπίας Οδού και της ΓΕΦΥΡΑ ΑΕ.

Chile Pepper

Research Institute

The center has spread spicy knowledge for decades.

IT’S HARD TO IMAGINE NEW Mexico without its peppers, which in the region retain the Spanish spelling of chile. The long pods, whether green or red, are a tasty part of local life, where they’re essential ingredients, an artistic motif, and a $500 million annual industry. If farmers or pepper-lovers in the state (and beyond) have any questions about their colorful crop, there’s only one place to go: the Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University, the only research institution in the world solely dedicated to chiles.

It’s been around for a while. Last year, the Chile Pepper Institute celebrated its 25th anniversary. Consisting of a visitor’s center, a shop for chile seeds and products, and a teaching garden bursting with offbeat pepper varieties, the Institute features the work of the 25 NMSU faculty who research and develop new chile varieties. It’s work that goes back to New Mexico State University’s earliest days, says Dr. Paul Bosland, a plant breeder and founder of the Institute. In fact, the center’s roots go back to the school’s first horticulturist, whose influence on spicy, pepper-bearing foods and products was seminal. “There was no New Mexican chile pepper prior to Fabian Garcia,” Bosland says.

The Chile Pepper Institute also hosts chile-related events and conferences.

Bosland considers Fabian Garcia the father of Mexican-American food for his work with chiles. But the man’s own background was humble. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 1871, he was orphaned soon afterwards. His grandmother took young Garcia across the border, where they settled in New Mexico. When his grandmother became housekeeper to an orchardist, Garcia started his horticultural education. After graduating in the first class of what is today’s New Mexico State University, he became the institution’s first horticulturist, responsible for developing crops for New Mexican farmers.

His influence was wide reaching, Bosland says, and forms the basis of NMSU’s current chile dominance. Seeing the rich but small-scale local chile culture, he embarked on a mission of “chile improvement” to spread the vegetable across the county. He wanted a more uniform, shippable pepper. According to Bosland, Garcia also strove to make New Mexican peppers less spicy for non-Hispanic tastes. His New Mexico No.9 pepper, which he released in 1921, laid the foundation for the canned chile and hot sauce industry, while making delectable dishes such as chiles rellenoswidely available. Yet Garcia worked with everything from fruit trees to pecans, and even introduced sweet onions, the basis for today’s Vidalia variety, to America from Spain.

Bosland is his thrice-removed successor. He’s the university’s fourth designated pepper breeder, and he founded the Institute 25 years ago, in part to carry on NMSU’s long chile history. Another goal was to sell NMSU’s chile seeds and products, which, in the days before the internet, required a physical storefront. Starting the Institute wasn’t easy. Originally, it operated out of a closet, Bosland recalls. There weren’t a lot of models, either. “We looked at the Apple Institute in Washington, which promoted apples, and the Tobacco Institute, which in those days promoted safe smoking,” he says with a chortle. Neither was the right model for what Bosland wanted: to become “the center of the universe for chile pepper answers” while supporting the state’s spicy industry.

The pepper world is a little different from Garcia’s day, though. For one thing, people are entranced by furiously hot peppers. In 2007, NMSU announced that Bosland had analyzed a tremendously spicy pepper: the bhut jolokia, from the Assam region of India. It was unexpected. Bosland had been burned (“pun intended,” he says) before by claims that this or that pepper was the world’s hottest. But to his surprise, the bhut jolokia’s heat surpassed a million Scoville units: the hottest ever recorded at the time. The pepper received a Guinness World record for the hottest chile ever discovered, though several peppers have now surpassed it. Bosland himself notes that the pepper is now widely known by its English name, ghost pepper, “because it was so hot you gave up the ghost.” Yet he insists that there’s more to chile taste beyond heat. “Most people think of the heat, the hotness,” Bosland says. “We know there’s more than 300 compounds that give so many different flavors.”

There’s lot of misinformation about peppers, in fact. For one thing, green and red chiles come from the same plant: The red ones are simply riper. For another, a chile’s main spicy kick is not held in the seeds, as many people believe. Instead, it’s typically in the filmy placental tissue, which sometimes rubs off on the seeds, making them spicy.

Another myth Bosland debunks is that vibrant ornamental peppers are poisonous. They’re not, though they aren’t specifically grown to be eaten. NMSU has released many ornamental chile varieties over the years, even in shades of shocking pastel purple. (Bosland says ornamental chile breeding is a fun pastime; plus, it’s good practice for students.) One series of ornamental peppers is named for holidays: an orange-and-black variety called “Halloween,” the jester-colored “April Fool’s,” and even a green-and-brown “Earth Day.” According to Bosland, the names of these NMSU-bred peppers are an elaborate in-joke. Until the 1950s, red-and-green ornamental pepper bushes were given as Christmas gifts. But the popularity of the poinsettia flower displaced Christmas ornamental peppers almost completely. As a tongue-in-cheek revenge, “we took all of the other holidays,” Bosland says. The colors aren’t limited to ornamental peppers, either: Recently, the Institute released lemon-yellow and pumpkin-orange jalapeño varieties (also known as pumpkin spice). Bosland thinks their bright colors will be a boon to growers. “People like to buy with their eyes.”

Many of these peppers grow in the Institute’s garden: over 150 varieties from around the world. From July until late fall, pepper bushes are heavily weighed with their colorful bounty. The garden has a yearly theme: This year, yellow chiles are highlighted. Visitors can either take a guided tour or stroll among the peppers themselves. Bosland says that NMSU’s international students are often bowled over when they see peppers from their homeland. A common reaction is “Oh, that’s my chile,” Bosland says. “That attachment to chiles is universal.”

After all, peppers now belong to everyone. Though they originated in the Americas, the Columbian Exchange of New World plants to the rest of the world made chile peppers an essential part of cuisines worldwide. People feel passionately about peppers, Bosland included—he started out breeding “cold vegetables” such as broccoli and cabbage, before realizing that studying chile peppers could be the work of a lifetime. After all, “it’s a vegetable, it’s a spice, it’s a food coloring agent, and it’s an ornamental.” (Though he refuses to name a favorite pepper. “I love all my children,” he says.)

Bosland says he recently spoke with NASA about growing chiles in space—the idea being that chile peppers could provide essential nutrients for astronauts on the long haul to Mars. Having helped peppers conquer the world, the Chile Pepper Institute may soon send them to the stars.

Δέκα ραδιοφωνικοί σταθμοί της Θεσσαλονίκης πήραν σήμερα περιβαλλοντική αδειοδότηση για να συνεχίσουν απρόσκοπτα τη λειτουργία τους από τη Μητροπολιτική Επιτροπή Θεσσαλονίκης της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας.

Οι δέκα σταθμοί είναι: Κοσμοράδιο, Republic, Μήνυμα, Libero, Velvet, Ακρίτες του Πόντου, Ράδιο Θεσσαλονίκη, Ερωτικός, VFM και Ζοο.

Οι αδειοδοτήσεις δόθηκαν, έπειτα κι από τις μετρήσεις που πραγματοποίησε η Ελληνική Επιτροπή Ατομικής Ενέργειας στο «πάρκο κεραιών» του Χορτιάτη (ύψωμα «Κολοσύρτης») για τις εκπομπές ηλεκτρομαγνητικής ακτινοβολίας στα τέλη του προηγούμενου Απριλίου. Τα επίπεδα που ανιχνεύτηκαν είναι κάτω από το ανώτατο επιτρεπόμενο όριο.

Με την έγκριση των περιβαλλοντικών όρων, οι δέκα σταθμοί νομιμοποιούν τις κεραιοδιατάξεις τους, ενώ όπως είπε η εκπρόσωπος του τμήματος Περιβάλλοντος και Υδροοικονομίας της Διεύθυνσης Ανάπτυξης και Περιβάλλοντος της Μητροπολιτικής Ενότητας Θεσσαλονίκης, Ελπίδα Μινοπούλου, οι μετρήσεις έγιναν στο συγκεκριμένο χώρο και σε διαφορετικές θέσεις, όμως δε διαπιστώθηκαν υπερβάσεις των ορίων.

Αντιρρήσεις για τις μελέτες περιβαλλοντικών επιπτώσεων δεν υπήρξαν, ενώ σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία της υπηρεσίας από τους λειτουργούντες ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς στη Θεσσαλονίκη περίπου οι 20 έχουν καταθέσει μελέτες περιβαλλοντικών επιπτώσεων και 14 από αυτούς πήραν τις άδειες. Η διαδικασία προέβλεπε την κατάθεση των μελετών μέχρι το τέλος Μαρτίου, ενώ δεν είναι γνωστό αν θα δοθεί παράταση.

«Ανοιχτά Σχολεία στη Γειτονιά» από τον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης

Το πρόγραμμα «Ανοιχτά Σχολεία στη Γειτονιά», μια πρωτοβουλία του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης με την συνεργασία και τον συντονισμό της ΑΜΚΕ Creativity Platform (Πλατφόρμα Δημιουργικότητας) και αποκλειστικό δωρητή το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος, συνεχίζει τη δράση του έως και την πρώτη εβδομάδα του Αυγούστου.

Το πρόγραμμα που υλοποιείται σε έξι επιλεγμένα σχολεία του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης διατηρώντας τις αυλές και τις αίθουσες των σχολείων ανοιχτές προς τους κατοίκους της πόλης, στοχεύει να αποτελέσει τον συνδετικό κρίκο ανάμεσα στην τοπική κοινωνία και στη σχολική μονάδα. Μέσω της δημιουργικής απασχόλησης, παιδιά και ενήλικες, εξοικειώνονται με το δυνητικό ρόλο του σχολείου και κατ’ επέκταση με τις έννοιες της γειτονιάς και του δημόσιου χώρου.

Η συμμετοχή είναι δωρεάν και ανοιχτή προς όλους, ενώ για την παρακολούθηση ορισμένων εργαστηρίων, ζητείται προεγγραφή.

Οι δράσεις απευθύνονται σε όλες τις ηλικιακές ομάδες και πραγματοποιούνται καθημερινά από τις 14.00 έως τις 22.00, στις φυλασσόμενες αυλές των σχολείων, με την καθοδήγηση ειδικών εμψυχωτών και παιδαγωγών.

Όλες οι δραστηριότητες υλοποιούνται στα παρακάτω σχολεία:

Εργασίες καθαρισμού στα πάρκα της Νέας Παραλίας

Εργασίες καθαρισμού και κοπής του λειμώνα στα πάρκα της Νέας Παραλίας πραγματοποίησε ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης.

Οι εργασίες πραγματοποιήθηκαν από τις υπηρεσίες της Διεύθυνσης Διαχείρισης Αστικού Περιβάλλοντος στο φυσικό λειμώνα έκτασης 10 στρεμμάτων. Το προϊόν κοπής αξιοποιήθηκε ως τροφή για τα ζώα του Ζωολογικού Κήπου, στο πλαίσιο της ολοκληρωμένης διαχείρισης των οργανικών υπολειμμάτων.

Παράλληλα πραγματοποιήθηκε καθαρισμός του υδάτινου οικοσυστήματος που βρίσκεται στον Κήπο του Νερού.

Στις σουίτες του πιο εντυπωσιακού Resort στον κόσμο

60 υπερπολυτελείς βίλες στην ζούγκλα του Μπάλι, στις όχθες του ποταμού Ayung

Στον κόσμο των ξενοδοχείων, τα επίθετα «μοναδικό», «αριστούργημα», «εντυπωσιακό» επαναλαμβάνονται τόσο συχνά που στο τέλος χάνουν ίσως λίγη από τη σημασία τους. Στην περίπτωση όμως του Four Seasons Resort Sayan Ubud, όπως εύκολα καταλαβαίνει κανείς και από τις εικόνες, οι παραπάνω χαρακτηρισμοί μάλλον φαντάζουν αρκετά «φτωχοί». Πρόκειται για ένα 5άστερο ξενοδοχειακό αριστούργημα, χτισμένο κυριολεκτικά μέσα στη ζούγκλα του Μπάλι της Ινδονησίας, το οποίο έγινε γνωστό στην υφήλιο όταν σε μία από τις σουίτες του γυρίστηκαν αρκετές σκηνές από την ταινία «Eat, Pray, Love», με πρωταγωνίστρια την Julia Roberts, η οποία μάλιστα έζησε τρεις μήνες σε αυτόν τον εξωτικό παράδεισο, παρέα με τον συμπρωταγωνιστή της, Javier Bardem.
Και πρόσφατα όμως, ο πρώην Πρόεδρος Ομπάμα και η οικογένεια του, πέρασαν 5 ημέρες των διακοπών τους στο resort, μένοντας μάλιστα στην ίδια βίλα -των $7,500 τη βραδιά- που φιλοξενήθηκε η Roberts, στην RoyalVilla, μία κατοικία τριων επιπέδων, με τρεις επικές κρεββατοκάμαρες, πολύ κοντά στην κύρια, εμβληματική -κυλινδρικού σχήματος- εγκατάσταση του ξενοδοχείου.

Το Four Seasons Resort Sayan Ubud, το δεύτερο που διατηρεί η μεγάλη πολυεθνική από τον Καναδά στο φημισμένο νησί της Ινδονησίας, δεν είναι απλά ένα ξενοδοχειακό συγκρότημα χτισμένο μέσα στη ζούγκλα αλλά δείχνει σαν να ήταν πάντα εκεί, σαν δημιούργημα του ίδιου του μαγικού τοπίου. Καταλαμβάνοντας μια έκταση 73 στρεμμάτων δίπλα στο χωριό Sayan και σε απόσταση 10 λεπτών από την πόλη Ubud, το θρησκευτικό και πνευματικό κέντρο του Μπάλι με τις ισχυρές παραδόσεις και το απαράμμιλης φυσικής ομορφιάς τοπίο, το Four Seasons «ζει και αναπνέει» από τα νερά του ποταμού Ayung, ο οποίος στα 75 του χιλιόμετρα δημιουργεί μια οργιώδη βλάστηση από αιωνόβια, πανύψηλα δέντρα, παραδεισένιους κήπους από εξωτικά λουλούδια και φυτά και βέβαια μεγάλες φυτείες ρυζιού, οικογενειακές οι περισσότερες, που βρίσκονται παντού σε αυτήν την περιοχή.

Αυτό που κυρίως εντυπωσιάζει τον επισκέπτη στο resort είναι η είσοδος του καθώς μια μακριά, εναέρια ξύλινη γέφυρα ενώνει τον δρόμο από το κυρίως κτίσμα και η οποία καταλήγει σε μια εντυπωσιακά τεράστια πισίνα υπερχείλησης, ενώ στον ορίζοντα και παντού γύρω κυριαρχεί η εικόνα της οργιώδους βλάστησης, των εξωτικών λουλουδιών και βέβαια των πολλών πουλιών που ζουν στις όχθες του Ayung. Από εκεί ξεκινά η περίηγηση στο κεντρικό κτίσμα ενός από τα εντυπωσιακότερα ξενοδοχεία στον κόσμο σήμερα με 18 σουίτες και 48 βίλες εγκατεστειμένες κυριολεκτικά μέσα στη ζούγκλα του Μπάλι.

Σε όλους τους εσωτερικούς χώρους του ξενοδοχείου κυριαρχεί εξαιρετικής ποιότητας ξύλινη επένδυση, επηρεασμένη σαφώς από την τοπική αρχιτεκτονική και διακόσμηση, ενώ η αίσθηση της πολυτέλειας είναι κυρίαρχη σε κάθε αντικείμενο, είτε πρόκειται για τα έπιπλα, είτε για τις πετσέτες είτε ακόμα και για αυτά τα σπουνάκια μπάνιου. Κάθε βίλα ή σουίτα έχει το δικό της εξωτερικό χώρο με πισίνα, δίνοντας την αίσθηση ότι ξυπνάς ή απολαμβάνεις το μπάνιο σου με απόλυτη ασφάλεια και έχοντας όλες τις ανέσεις μέσα στη ζούγκλα. Δεν είναι τυχαίο άλλωστε ότι κάθε δωμάτιο του Four Seasons μοιάζει με ένα κουκλίστικο δεντρόσπιτο, στο οποίο όμως ανά πάσα στιγμή μπορείς να απολαμβάνεις τις υπηρεσίες ενός «καθαρόμαιμου» 5* ξενοδοχείου.

Όλα στο Four Seasons Resort Sayan Ubud είναι φτιαγμένα έτσι ώστε ο εύπορος φιλοξενούμενος του να ζει στην απόλυτη χαλάρωση, νιώθοντας ότι κανείς ενοχλητικός δεν πρόκειται να τον ενοχλήσει ποτέ εκεί. Για αυτό άλλωστε και οι περισσότεροι επισκέπτες του απολαμβάνουν τις υπηρεσίες του εξαιρετικά οργανωμένου spa που διαθέτει, καθώς το Μπάλι, η yoga και τα μασάζ του είναι φημισμένα και για την πνευματική ευεξία που προσφέρουν.

Το Four Seasons Resort Sayan Ubud μπορεί να απέχει πολύ από τη θάλασσα και από το άλλο ξενοδοχείο που διαθέτει η εταιρεία στον κόλπο Jimbaran, στις ακτές του Ινδικού Ωκεανού, αλλά τα κρυστάλλινα νερά δεν λείπουν καθόλου από τα μάτια και τα αυτιά του επισκέπτη, καθώς εκτός από τις ιδιωτικές πισίνες, μία μεγάλη, δύο επιπέδων, δίπλα ακριβώς στο ποτάμι, προσφέρει την απόλυτη απόλαυση δροσιάς και ευεξίας.

Είναι πολλά ακόμα που θα μπορούσαν να γραφτούν για το Four Seasons Resort του Ubud, όπως για τα εστιατόρια, το μπαρ μέσα στη ζούγκλα δίπλα στον ποταμό και όλες τις άλλες απίθανα luxurious υπηρεσίες που προσφέρει αλλά μάλλον μεγαλύτερη σημασία έχουν οι εικόνες. Όσο για την τιμή διανυκτέρευσης; Σύμφωνα με τα πιο πρόσφατα στοιχεία, ξεκινά από τα €500 σχεδόν τη βραδιά, μια απλή… βίλα αλλά είναι σίγουρο πως μέσω κάποιου γραφείου μπορεί η τιμή αυτή να κατέβει καθώς το ξενοδοχείο έχει συνεχώς προσφορές, κυρίως σε νεόνυμφους. Τυχαίο; Που αλλού θα βρουν τόση χαλάρωση και «απομόνωση»;

Ψεριμος,ο παράδεισος των Δωδεκανήσων

Είναι ένα από τα μικρότερα νησιά των Δωδεκανήσων και βρίσκεται βόρεια της Κω και νοτιοανατολικά της Καλύμνου.

Η μικροσκοπική Ψέριμος, των 15 τετραγωνικών χιλιομέτρων και των 80 μονιμων κατοικων,επιφυλάσσει στον επισκέπτη ήσυχες και γαλήνιες διακοπές, σε έναν τόπο μακριά από την τουριστική βαβούρα και κοντά στην (ανέγγιχτη) φύση. Το νησί, που λέγεται και Κάπαρη, έχει πολλούς χαμηλούς λόφους και μικρές κοιλάδες με ελαιόδεντρα. Το βόρειο άκρο του νησιού ονομάζεται «Άκρα Βασιλική» και το νοτιότερο άκρο «Άκρα Ρούσσα».

Τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες, οι πεντακάθαρες παραλίες της με τα κρυστάλλινα νερά είναι «μαγνήτης» για τους επισκέπτες, που απολαμβάνουν την ηρεμία, τον ήλιο και τη θάλασσα, στον εναλλακτικό προορισμό όπου δεν υπάρχουν δρόμοι, δεν κυκλοφορούν αυτοκίνητα και υπάρχει μόνο ένας οικισμός. Ο λόγος για τα Αυλάκια, όπου βρίσκεται και το λιμάνι του νησιού. Τα Αυλάκια είναι και η μεγαλύτερη και ωραιότερη αμμουδιά του νησιού, με ρηχά και διάφανα νερά.

Πολλοί επιλέγουν την Ψέριμο σαν προορισμό για ημερήσια εκδρομή από τα κοντινά νησιά, κυρίως την Κω και την Κάλυμνο.

Au pied de Cochon-η καλυτερη κρεμυδοσουπα στο Παρισι

Το μυθικό μπιστρό Au Pied de Cochon βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της Πόλης του Φωτός, δίπλα στην περιοχή Σατλέ, και γιόρτασε πέρυσι τα 70 χρόνια λειτουργίας του.

Το μπιστρό ειδικεύεται στα χοιρινά προϊόντα και 1 στους 5 πελάτες το επισκέπτεται για να φάει το διάσημο ψητό γουρουνοπόδαρο η την ξακουστη κρεμυδοσουπα,κυριως τις βραδυνες ωρες μετα απο μια συναυλια η θεατρικη παρασταση.

Το εστιατόριο, όπου το 40% των μεσημεριανών γευμάτων σερβίρονται σε ξένους τουρίστες, μένει ανοιχτό μέρα και νύχτα, σερβίρει 24 ώρες το 24ωρο και φημίζεται για το σέρβις του σε ξενύχτηδες.

Πρόκειται για ένα vintage μπιστρό 4 ορόφων, το οποίο δεν έχει αλλάξει ντεκόρ και διακόσμηση από το 1990. Κρύσταλλα μουράνο, τοιχογραφίες που ζωγράφισαν φοιτητές των Καλών Τεχνών με λουλούδια και μικρά γουρουνόπουλα ανάμεσά τους, η εμβληματική μπρασερί ξεχειλίζει από λάτρεις του χοιρινού, χειμώνα-καλοκαίρι. Το εν λόγω εστιατόριο είναι μάρτυρας ενός χαρούμενου Παρισιού του παρελθόντος, με την έμπνευση της Μπελ Επόκ του 1900.

Το εμβληματικό γουρουνοπόδαρο, ψητό, είναι η βεντέτα του μπιστρό, αλλά δεν λείπουν από το μενού παντός είδους κρέατα, όστρακα και ψάρια. «Στόχος μας είναι να ξαναβρούμε τους ντόπιους πελάτες» σχολιάζει ο σεφ του μπιστρό. Το βασικό μενού κοστίζει 38 ευρώ, με γλυκό ανεβαίνει στα 50 ευρώ, ενώ υπάρχουν και μενού εξπρές για τουρίστες με 19,90 ευρώ.

The Beatles had been selected to represent the UK for the first-ever global-wide satellite broadcast. The group agreed to be shown in the studio recording a song written especially for the occasion, (which was aired on June 25). John Lennon wrote ‘All You Need is Love’ which was thought to sum up the 1967 'summer of love' and The Beatles' sympathies.

1967, Elvis Presley was working on his latest movie Speedway co-starring Nancy Sinatra at the MGM Soundstage, Hollywood, California. (It was Presley's twenty-seventh film).

1968, Pink Floyd played the second of three nights at the Boston Tea Party, Boston, Massachusetts. Opened in January 1967 as a psychedelic club, many many famous artists, including Grateful Dead, Neil Young, The J. Geils Band, Frank Zappa, Cream, Fleetwood Mac, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience,Jeff Beck, The Who, Santana, Taj Mahal, Ten Years After and Sly & the Family Stone all appeared.

1972, Rolling Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were arrested in Warwick, Rhode Island on charges of assault after a fight broke out with a newspaper photographer.

1974, The Ozark Music Festival was held over three days on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri. One of the largest music festivals ever held, some estimates have put the crowd count at 350,000 people. 1975, The Bay City Rollers were at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'Give A Little Love', the group's second and final UK No.1.

1975, Paul McCartney and Wings went to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Listen To What The Man Said', his fourth US No.1, and No.6 hit in the UK, (the track features Tom Scott playing the saxophone solo). It would go on to sell a million copies in America and reach No.6 in the UK. Wings also had the US No.1 album chart with 'Venus And Mars'. Paul McCartney's fourth No.1 album since The Beatles.

1975, On his Natty Dread tour, Bob Marley & the Wailers appeared at the Lyceum Theatre in London. The show was recorded and the live single 'No Woman, No Cry' was later released.

1976, Deep Purple split up at the end of an UK tour. David Coverdale went on to form Whitesnake, Jon Lord and Ian Paice formed a band with Tony Ashton. The classic line up of Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord & Paice reformed in 1984. Glenn Hughes returned to Trapeze and Tommy Bolin put together his own band, (but would die before the end of the year).

1980, Queen scored their third UK No.1 album with 'The Game', featuring the single 'Another One Bites The Dust'.

1981, It was Roy Orbison Day in Odessa, Texas. Orbison was given the keys to the city, and performed for the crowd, the first time in Odessa in 15 years.

1986, Genesis went to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Invisible Touch'. The bands former lead singer Peter Gabriel was at No.2 with 'Sledgehammer'.

1987, Bruce Springsteen played his first ever show behind the Iron Curtain when he appeared in East Berlin in front of 180,000 people. The show was broadcast on East German TV.

1989, James Brown changed accommodations behind bars after $40000 in cash and cheques was discovered in his minimum security cell. The Godfather of Soul had been given a six year sentence the previous December after several run-ins with the law, including illegal gun possession, resisting arrest, assault and leading the authorities on a number of car chases. His new home was at a medium security cell at the Stevenson Correctional Institute.

1989, Residents of Washington, Connecticut formed a ‘Roll the Stones Out of Town’, action group after they were unhappy with The Rolling Stones and their entourage setting up in the town for rehearsals for their forthcoming tour. Residents said it was like the army had moved in and taken over, with security guards stopping locals and asking them what they were doing there.

1991, Steven Adler ex drummer with Guns N' Roses filed a suit in Los Angeles county court alleging that he was fraudulently removed from the group and that the band introduced him to hard drugs.

1996, The Spice Girls made their debut on UK TV music show Top Of The Popsperforming their debut single ' Wannabe' which gave them their first of nine UK chart toppers.

1997, Oasis went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'D'You Know What I Mean'. The first single from their third album 'Be Here Now'.

1999, A gunman who sprayed bullets at Westwood's car in Kensington, London, shot BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood. A statement the following day said he was recovering in a London Hospital.

2001, American soul and gospel singer Judy Clay died. Was a member of the Drinkard Singers - who later became better known as The Sweet Inspirations , also worked with Billy Vera, and had hits with William Bell (Private Number), and sang with Wilson Pickett and Ray Charles.

2001, Wu Tang Clan rapper ODB, (Russell Jones), was sentenced to spend between two and four years behind bars after being found guilty of drug possession. He was arrested in July 1999 when police found cocaine and marijuana in his car after he was pulled over for driving through a red light. The rapper was later sent to a Los Angeles rehabilitation centre, but went on the run from authorities last October.

2005, James Blunt was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'You're Beautiful', from his debut album 'Back To Bedlam'. The UK singer songwriters first No.1, spent 5 weeks at the top of the charts.

2010, Ozzy Osbourne and his former Black Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi settled a long-running legal dispute over the use of the group's name. Ozzy had filed suit against the guitarist in May of last year, accusing Iommi of falsely proclaiming to be the sole owner of the Black Sabbath name by lodging an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The pair released a joint statement confirming they have settled the dispute "amicably".

2014, Ed Sheeran was at No.1 on the UK album chart with X (pronounced multiply), his second studio album. The album peaked at No. 1 in fifteen countries, and the lead single, 'Sing', became Sheeran's first UK No.1 song. By the end of 2014 Spotify named X the most-streamed album in the world for 2014, racking up more than 430 million streams for the year.

2017, A US judge halted an auction of personal items of Madonna, after she said her privacy was violated. Madonna's underwear, a chequebook, a hairbrush, photos and a break-up letter from the late rapper Tupac Shakur had been among the scheduled lots. The singer said her possessions had been stolen by a former friend.

A Russian woman arrested in Washington over the weekend on charges of working as an illegal foreign agent in the United States “appears” to have ties to Russia’s intelligence services, prosecutors revealed in court documents on Wednesday .

On July 18, 1968, U.S. President Lyndon Johnson meets with South Vietnamese President Nguyen Van Thieu in Honolulu to discuss the Vietnam War. Johnson affirms the U.S. commitment to defending South Vietnam from communist insurgents and the North Vietnamese military. The two leaders also agree to a policy of “Vietnamization” of the war, meaning the South’s military would gradually take on greater responsibility in the conflict, allowing the U.S. to scale back its involvement.

13 on-screen best friends that reportedly hated each other in real life

Acting is a unique profession in which you can find yourself sequestered with your co-workers for 15 hours a day, seven days a week. So it makes sense that personalities clash and drama ensues.

But it's always sad to find out that your BFF goals couldn't actually stand being in a room together, like Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi, who played dynamic duo Alicia and Kalinda on "The Good Wife." And what hasn't been said about the legendary falling out of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall on "Sex and the City"?

Here are 13 on-screen besties that reportedly couldn't stand each other off-screen.

Three of the four stars of "Desperate Housewives" got along great — but they all reportedly couldn't stand Teri Hatcher.

The feud between the ladies of Wisteria Lane is well-publicized. It appears to have stemmed from Teri Hatcher, who played Susan, considering herself the star of the show, though all four of the actresses were technically leads.

While Nicolette Sheridan (who played Edie before getting killed off in season five) called Hatcher "the meanest woman in the world," the drama came to a head when the cast appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair.

According to Today, an ABC rep demanded that Hatcher wouldn't be the first to get to pick her wardrobe, and wouldn't be shot in the center of the cover photo, in order to appease the rest of the group.

When Hatcher finagled her way into wardrobe first anyhow, Marcia Cross allegedly stormed off set, while Eva Longoria shot off angry texts to their rep.

The drama was seemingly confirmed by a telling omission on the wrap gifts the stars gave to the crew — Hatcher's name was completely left off the card.

And if you thought this was all in the past, you're wrong. In 2018, six years after the show ended, Longoria appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" claiming that the crew was all still "very good friends," before correcting herself with, "99% of us are."

The feud between "Sex and the City" co-stars Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker has reached a fever pitch recently.

Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker have had a long-simmering feud that recently exploded when Cattrall was blamed for "Sex and the City 3" not happening. The actress, who played Samantha Jones on the hit HBO comedy, tweeted that "The only 'DEMAND' I ever made was that I didn't want to do a 3rd film."

Things got even more heated when Parker publicly expressed her condolences when Cattrall's brother passed away. Cattrall blasted her former co-star on Instagram, ending her caption with "Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family. You are not my friend," adding, "I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona."

Parker has yet to respond to Cattrall's comments, though she stands by the fact that in her eyes, there's no feud.

For years, Jennie Garth was rumored to have gotten Shannen Doherty fired from "Beverly Hills, 90210."

Doherty and Garth are reportedly friends now, 20 years after the filming of "Beverly Hills, 90210," but at the time their drama almost came to blows.

Garth told E! News in 2014 that "there were times when we wanted to claw each other's eyes out." When Doherty's character Brenda was unceremoniously written off the show, while Kelly, played by Garth, stayed on for the show's 10-season run, people were suspicious.

However, it was revealed that a third party was responsible for Brenda's indefinite trip to London: fellow star Tori Spelling, whose father Aaron Spelling, produced the show. She admitted on a Lifetime special "Tori Spelling: Celebrity Lie Detector" that she asked her father to write Doherty off the show after Doherty and Garth almost got into a physical fight.

Shannen Doherty allegedly didn't get along with her "Charmed" co-star Alyssa Milano either.

Milano and Doherty played not just best friends, but sisters. The three Halliwell sisters on "Charmed" were as close as can be, which is why fans were devastated when Doherty's character Prue was killed off in season three.

Since this was the second time Doherty was abruptly written off a show (the first time was after four seasons of "Beverly Hills, 90210"), people were suspicious. Milano admitted to tension, stating "we definitely didn't get along." The studio even tried to bring a mediator to help alleviate the situation, but according to Milano and other co-star Holly Marie Combs, that only made it worse.

Doherty, for her part, told Entertainment Tonight, "There was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work." She continued, "I'll miss Holly a lot."

In 2013, Milano admitted on "Watch What Happens Live," "I can tell you that we were on the air with her for three years and there were definitely some rough days."

Alex Pettyfer told the world that Channing Tatum wasn't too happy with him after a conflict during the filming of "Magic Mike."

Mike, played by Tatum, took Adam, played by Pettyfer, under his wing in "Magic Mike," but real-life events were much more acrimonious.

By Pettyfer's own admission, "Channing Tatum does not like me. For many reasons. Many being my own fault." According to Pettyfer, the bad blood began when he kept to himself on set, because he was self-conscious — the "Beastly" star admitted that this might have come off as standoffish.

But the real drama came when Pettyfer rented an apartment from a friend of Tatum's — and then moved out before paying four months worth of back rent. Pettyfer received an email from Tatum calling him out. Tatum wrote, "Don't f--- my friends. You owe money. Pay the f---ing money. Don't be a clown."

Isaiah Washington was fired due to inflammatory remarks he made to on-screen best man Patrick Dempsey on the set of "Grey's Anatomy."

Preston Burke and Derek Shepherd grew close after surviving many a life-threatening situation on "Grey's Anatomy." In real life, however, Dempsey and Washington were anything but.

Access Hollywood first reported that the two had been involved in a "violent brawl" on set, allegedly after Demspey showed up late one day. Later, details emerged alleging that Washington had used a homophobic slur against his fellow TV doctor.

Another "Grey's" star, TR Knight, then claimed Washington had been referring to him, and came out as gay in response. Washington admitted to using the slur, but claimed that it hadn't been used in a homophobic context, and wasn't even directed at Knight — he meant it as a way to refer to "somebody who is being weak."

Even though Washington stated multiple times that he wasn't homophobic, this effectively ended his time on the show, and he was written off after season three.

William Shatner is said to have feuded with basically everyone on the set of "Star Trek," but specifically with co-star George Takei.

This iconic beef has been festering for over five decades. Much has been written about Shatner's legendary ego, but no one has ever gone in as hard on Shatner as Takei has.

Takei wrote in his 1994 autobiography "To The Stars," that Shatner would pretend not to know him on set, and that he even tried to prevent his character Sulu from taking command of a starship. Shatner responded in his own autobiography with some subtle shade, claiming that he never really got to know Takei because he was barely on set (implying that Takei's part was small).

The drama escalated when Shatner apparently didn't receive an invite to Takei's 2008 wedding. Captain Kirk went off on his co-star, saying "There's such a sickness there, it's so painfully obvious that there's a psychosis there." Takei claimed that he did invite Shatner, and that the invite must have gotten lost in the mail.

Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi allegedly couldn't even be on set together for the last three seasons of "The Good Wife."

Kalinda and Alicia played best friends on "The Good Wife," but had a glaring lack of scenes together for three seasons. While Panjabi left during the show's sixth season, she hadn't acted with her on-screen bestie since season three.

Fans were promised a scene between the two ladies in Kalinda's last episode, and they got it — but it was later revealed that the two still hadn't appeared together. Instead, the show employed the use of split screens to create the illusion of the two being in the same room.

Why couldn't they stand being together? It's never been confirmed, though shade has definitely been thrown. Margulies claimed that the green screen was used because Panjabi was already working on her new show "The Fall," but Panjabi quickly refuted that, tweeting "'The Fall' was not even in production at that time and I was in New York ready to film the scene!"

Dominic Monaghan has been vocal about his disdain for "Lost" co-star Matthew Fox.

While Jack and Charlie got along great on "Lost," their real-life counterparts decidedly did not — which came as a shock to many.

The drama started during a Twitter Q&A where Monaghan was asked to get his buddy and former co-star Fox on the social networking app. He minced no words in his response, simply saying, "He beats women. No thanks."

Though fans of Fox came to his defense, Monaghan stood his ground, even alleging to one fan, "You don't know either of us. He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often."

Fox responded in an interview with Men's Journal. "The Cleveland situation, the Monaghan situation, was a pile of bulls---, and I'm not gonna waste too much breath on that," he said. "In the 46 years I've been breathing on this planet, I have never hit a woman before. Never have, never will."

Santana and Rachel might have been besties, but there's no love lost between "Glee" stars Naya Rivera and Lea Michele.

Rachel and Santana actually started out as enemies, but slowly grew to love each other over the course of TV show "Glee." They even ended up becoming roommates. But apparently, the two actresses had the opposite relationship in real life. According to Rivera, by season six, "[Michele] didn't say a word to me."

Why the silent treatment? Rivera believed that it had something to do with her role being expanded. "I think Rachel — erm, I mean Lea — didn't like sharing the spotlight," Rivera wrote in her autobiography, "Sorry Not Sorry.""Lea and I definitely weren't the best of friends," she concluded, but added that "the rumors of our 'feud' were blown out of proportion."

Terrence Howard was replaced by Don Cheadle in "Iron Man 2" after salary disputes — which he blamed on Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

It's hard to picture anyone but Cheadle as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka Iron Patriot. But in the very first installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was played by Howard. At first, it wasn't totally clear why the switch happened in the sequel, though rumor had it that the studio wanted to significantly cut Howard's salary (as the first actor to sign on to the film and its potential sequel, he was making more than anyone else) as well as his role.

Throwing shade, Howard told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that, "It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to re-up for the second one, took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out." Howard confirmed in 2010 that he had pushed for Downey to be cast.

While Downey has never confirmed any bad blood, he did tell MTV: "I had nothing to do with that decision. I love Terrence very very much. That's all I'll say because I haven't talked to him yet."

Their beef might be over though — Howard posted a photo of the duo on Instagram in 2016.

The dynamic between Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels was a lot more hate than love during "Star Wars."

Bickering droids C3PO and R2D2 didn't always get along in the "Star Wars" movies, but it was still plain to see that the two robots cared for one another. The same cannot be said for the actors behind them, Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels.

Despite being the only two actors that had appeared in all of the "Star Wars" movies (up until Baker's death in 2016), they just couldn't connect. Baker repeatedly took jabs at Daniels for years, claiming that Daniels "never wants to have a drink with any of us," and stating that "I just don't like him and have never understood what his problem is."

Daniels, on the other hand, has been a bit more sly about his feelings for Baker. In 2011, Daniels told The Mirror, "I mean, R2-D2 doesn't even speak. He might as well be a bucket."

For what it's worth, Daniel expressed his condolences on Twitter when Baker passed away in 2016, writing: "Sad to hear of Kenny's passing. 1 of the truly original cast, so famed for his iconic role as R2. He'll always be remembered by so many fans."

Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy's friendship couldn't seem to handle the cancellation of their show "Sam & Cat."

Grande and McCurdy got their starts on "Victorious" and "iCarly," respectively. When both of those shows came to an end, Nickelodeon decided to create "Sam & Cat," a show featuring both leads.

This all came to a screeching halt when racy photos of McCurdy were leaked onto the internet. Immediately after, the star skipped the Kid's Choice Awards, which many people thought was a result of the leak. However, TMZ reported that McCurdy didn't go to the ceremony because she found out that Grande was being paid a significant amount more money than she was for "Sam & Cat."

The drama began heating up when McCurdy posted a long essay about letting go of a toxic friendship, which people quickly assumed was about Grande. "Sam & Cat" was eventually canceled.

The feud became impossible to deny once McCurdy released her own web series in 2014 that featured a ditzy character named Gloriana who shared some characteristics with Grande — namely, both were vegan, could rock a high ponytail, and had a thing for bunny ears.

Thankfully, the two seem to have called a truce. McCurdy congratulated Grande on her new engagement to "SNL" star Pete Davidson, and Grande tweeted "i love her forever" in response.

Το Wyndham Athens Residence είναι το έβδομο ξενοδοχείο και το πρώτο μεικτής χρήσης (mixed–use) concept φιλοξενίας της Wyndham Hotels & Resorts στην Ελλάδα.

Μετά την ολοκληρωτική ανακαίνιση και τον ανασχεδιασμό του κτιρίου από τη Zeus International, το Wyndham Athens Residence διαθέτει συνολικά 89 πλήρως εξοπλισμένα δωμάτια και σουίτες σε στιλ διαμερισμάτων.
