Ότζι, ο άνθρωπος των πάγων: Τι έφαγε πριν πεθάνει, 5.300 χρόνια πριν
Οι ερευνητές δυσκολεύτηκαν να εντοπίσουν το στομάχι του, ώστε να ελέγξουν το περιεχόμενο επειδή είχε μετατοπιστεί ανεξήγητα, προς τα πάνω.
Ίχνη λιπαρού κρέατος, μονόκοκκου σιταριού και δηλητηριώδους φτέρης εντόπισαν ερευνητές του Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου της Αυστραλίας στο Σίνδνει (UTS) σε συνεργασία με συναδέλφους τους του Ευρωασιατικού Ινστιτούτου Μελετών Μούμιας στην Ιταλία (EIMS) στο στομάχι του Οτζι, του Ανθρώπου των Πάγων ηλικίας 5.300 χρόνων.
Ο Οτζι ανακαλύφθηκε στις Ιταλικές Άλπεις το 1991 από Γερμανούς πεζοπόρους, και πρόκειται για την παλαιότερη φυσικά διατηρημένη μούμια του κόσμου. Διεθνής μελέτη που δόθηκε στη δημοσιότητα και αναφέρεται στο περιεχόμενο που βρέθηκε στο στομάχι του Οτζι, βοήθησε τους ερευνητές να ρίξουν μια εμπεριστατωμένη ματιά στη διατροφή των αρχαίων Ευρωπαίων την εποχή του Χαλκού, πριν από 5.000 χρόνια.
Περίπου η μισή ποσότητα φαγητού στο στομάχι του αποτελείτο από λιπαρό συνδετικό ιστό, πιθανότατα από αλπικό αίγαγρο. Το κρέας ήταν μάλλον καπνιστό επειδή, σύμφωνα με την ερευνητική ομάδα, είχε σωματίδια αιθάλης σε αυτό.
Ο Οτζι βρέθηκε με ένα τόξο και ένα βέλος και τεκμαίρεται ότι ορεσίβιοι σαν κι αυτόν κυνηγούσαν αγριοκάτσικα αναζητώντας μια καλή πηγή διατροφής στο σκληρό αλπικό κλίμα.
Το υψηλό και κρύο περιβάλλον είναι ιδιαίτερα δύσκολο για την ανθρώπινη φυσιολογία και απαιτεί βέλτιστη παροχή θρεπτικών συστατικών για να αποφευχθεί η πείνα και η απώλεια ενέργειας.
Ο Άνθρωπος των Πάγων κατανάλωνε επίσης ένα αρχαίο είδος σιταριού που ονομάζεται μονόκοκκο, καθώς και σπόρους από δηλητηριώδη φτέρη. Δεν είναι ακόμα γνωστό γιατί κατανάλωνε το φυτό αυτό, οι επιστήμονες όμως εικάζουν ότι μπορεί να ήταν σαν ένα είδος φαρμάκου ή πιθανόν να την χρησιμοποίησε για να τυλίξει άλλα τρόφιμα και καταναλώθηκε κατά λάθος.
Αρχικά, οι ερευνητές δυσκολεύτηκαν να εντοπίσουν το στομάχι για να ελέγξουν το περιεχόμενο επειδή είχε ανεξήγητα μετατοπιστεί προς τα πάνω, στην περιοχή όπου πρέπει να βρίσκεται το κάτω μέρος των πνευμόνων.
Ωστόσο, το 2009 όταν έγινε αξονική τομογραφία βρέθηκε το στομάχι και τώρα χρησιμοποιώντας κλασικές μικροσκοπικές και σύγχρονες μοριακές προσεγγίσεις μπορεί να γίνει λεπτομερής ανάλυση του περιεχομένου στο έντερο του Οτζι.

Μπέλλα Βράκα: η παραλία της Ηπείρου είναι το πιο εξωτικό κομμάτι της Ελλάδας
Έχουμε άπειρες επιλογές, όσες και οι παραλίες μας όταν έρχεται η ώρα να πάμε για μπάνιο. Ανάλογα σε ποιο κομμάτι της Ελλάδας ζούμε, μπορούμε να βρούμε -σε κοντινή απόσταση- παραλίες που θα καλύψουν τα γούστα μας.
Στην πραγματικότητα, η μερίδα του λέοντος όσον αφορά τα πιο κρυστάλλινα νερά, ανήκει στα νησιά. Κυκλάδες, Ιόνιο, Δωδεκάνησα, βόρειο Αιγαίο, Σποράδες, Κρήτη... Όπου -μα όπου- κι αν βρεθείτε θα βρείτε ονειρεμένες πλαζ, με αμμουδιά, με βότσαλο, με βράχια, με κόσμο, οργανωμένη ή απομονωμένη.
Δεν είναι όμως μόνο στα νησιά οι ωραίες παραλίες. Και η ηπειρωτική χώρα κρύβει διαμαντάκια που πρέπει απλώς να τα ανακαλύψεις. Όπως η μαγική παραλία της Ηπείρου, Μπέλλα Βράκα.

Στη μικρή παραλία με τη χρυσή άμμο, μπορείτε να κάνετε πολλά και διάφορα θαλάσσια σπορ. Μπορείτε να την επισκεφτείτε με το αυτοκίνητο και κατόπιν, αφού το αφήσετε στο πάρκινγκ, θα περπατήσετε στο μονοπάτι.
Φροντίστε να προμηθευτείτε καφέ, φαγητό και νερό, αλλά και πεδιλάκια για να περπατήσετε μέσα στη θάλασσα (έχει μικρές πέτρες που κάνουν λίγο επίπονη τη διαδικασία).
Επίσης, δεν είναι προσβάσιμη για άτομα με κινητικά προβλήματα, ενώ θα την ευχαριστηθείτε περισσότερο αν πάτε ημέρες που δεν έχει πολύ κόσμο.

Η ΜΑΓΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΛΕΣΒΟΥ
Η αρχοντική Μυτιλήνη, τα κάστρα, τα παραδοσιακά ουζερί, το απολιθωμένο δάσος, τα κρυστάλλινα νερά και όλοι οι λόγοι που η Λέσβος θα σε μαγέψει.
Η Μυτιλήνη
Η πρωτεύουσα του νησιού είναι ένα γοητευτικό κράμα από χρώματα, κοσμοπολιτισμό, αρχιτεκτονικά είδη και νησιώτικα καφενεδάκια. Χτισμένη αμφιθεατρικά στα λοφάκια πίσω από το λιμάνι, στεφανώνεται από ένα εκ των μεγαλύτερων φρουρίων της Μεσογείου. Η προκυμαία είναι διάσπαρτη με ουζερί και καφενέδες, ενώ πίσω τους φιγουράρουν μπαρόκ, νεογοτθικά, νεοκλασικά και μπελ επόκ κτίρια «βουτηγμένα» στο χρώμα. Κλασικές βόλτες είναι αυτές στην Ερμού με την κεντρική αγορά και τα μπακάλικα, στα Λαδάδικα με τα όμορφα μαγαζάκια. Όμορφο περίπατο θα κάνετε και στο Κιόσκι και στη διαδρομή από το Νέο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο ως το παλιό λιμάνι, μια βόλτα διάσπαρτη με αρχοντικά νεοκλασικά και το Κάστρο για φόντο. Για πρωινό, θα καθίσετε στο Μουσικό Καφενείο, που έχει εκμοντερνίσει τα καλούδια του κλασικού πρωινού. Αξίζει να δείτε και τα σπίτια μακεδονικού ρυθμού που ξεφυτρώνουν στη διαδρομή του Αεροδρομίου προς τη Μυτιλήνη.
Τα μουσεία
Μερικά από τα μουσεία που δεν πρέπει να χάσετε είναι:
-Ο κόσμος του ούζου, σε έναν ελαιώνα του Πλωμαρίου, όπου θα μάθετε τα πάντα για το απόσταγμα-καμάρι του νησιού. Το Μουσείο Ούζου ΕΒΑ, στο 1ο χιλιόμετρο Μυτιλήνης-Καλλονής, όπου θα μάθετε τον τρόπο παρασκευής του ούζου όπως τον εφάρμοζαν τον περασμένο αιώνα.
–Το Μουσείο Βιομηχανικής Ελαιουργίας της Αγίας Παρασκευής, που παρουσιάζει την διαδικασία της παραγωγής λαδιού, στον χώρο του παλιού κοινοτικού ελαιοτριβείου.
–Το Μουσείο Θεοφίλου, όπου φιλοξενούνται τα έργα του γνωστού ζωγράφου, στο μέρος όπου γεννήθηκε και πέρασε τα παιδικά του χρόνια
-Το Μουσείο-Βιβλιοθήκη Τεριάντ στη Βαρειά, όπου φυλάσσεται το σύνολο του εκδοτικού έργου του Τεριάντ, με λιθογραφίες και εξώφυλλα – αποτελέσματα της συνεργασίας του με τους Beaudin, Bonnard, Chagall, Giacometti, Gris, Gromaire, Laurens, Le Corbusier, Matisse, Miro, Picasso κ.α.
-Το Ψηφιακό Μουσείο Γεώργιος Ιακωβίδης στα Χύδηρα, γενέτειρα του ζωγράφου – πρόκειται μάλιστα για το πρώτο εξ ολοκλήρου ψηφιακό μουσείο τέχνης στη χώρα
-Το Μουσείο Σαπωνοποιίας Πλωμαρίου, στον πρώτο όροφο ενός κτιρίου της πλατείας του Πλωμαρίου που μαρτυρά πολλά μυστικά για την λαογραφία του τόπου
-Το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Μυτιλήνης, στην περιοχή Κιόσκι, όπου βρίσκεται το νέο κτίριο του μουσείου – επισκέψιμο είναι ακόμη και το παλιό κτίριο, όπου ξετυλίγεται η ιστορία του νησιού από τα νεολιθικά χρόνια ως το τέλος της Ρωμαιοκρατίας
Ο Μόλυβος
Στην βόρεια άκρη του νησιού, ο Μόλυβος ξεχωρίζει για την γραφική του αρχιτεκτονική και για το καλοδιατηρημένο κάστρο του. Τα σπιτάκια του, από πέτρα και ξύλο, είναι βαμμένα σε έντονα χρώματα ενώ τα τείχη του κάστρου με τη βυζαντινή του αίγλη κάνουν τον οικισμό κατάλληλο για ρομαντζάδα.
Οι γραφικοί οικισμοί
Οι εξερευνήσεις στα χωριά και τους οικισμούς του νησιού δεν τελειώνουν ποτέ: Η Ερεσός με τα όμορφα αρχοντικά, η Αγιάσος με το παραδοσιακό της χρώμα, το Σιγρί με τα γραφικά δρομάκια, το κάστρο με το αραβικό τόξο και το φυσικό του λιμανάκι, ο Πολιχνίτος με τις θερμοπηγές, το Πλωμάρι με τα ουζερί του και το κουκλίστικο «μέσα μέρος» του, η Πέτρα με την παραλία με τον διάσημο βράχο της, ο Μανταμάδος με την πλούσια παραγωγή σε τοπικά προϊόντα και η Καλλονή στο κέντρο του νησιού με τα ποτάμια και τα αμπέλια, είναι μερικοί από τους οικισμούς που αξίζει να επισκεφθείτε. Άλλα ιδιαίτερα μέρη του νησιού είναι οι Μηλιές, ένας εγκαταλελειμμένος οικισμός που ξαναγεννιέται, οι Πύργοι Θερμής με τα παλιά εξοχικά των Μυτιληνιών, και η Παναγιά η Κρυφτή, έξω από το Πλωμάρι, ένα μυστικό των ντόπιων – με το εκκλησάκι να βρίσκεται μέσα στα βράχια από όπου πηγάζουν θερμά λουτρά.
Οι πεζοπορίες
Το νησί είναι γεμάτο φυσικές ομορφιές και διαδρομές που θα χορτάσουν τους φίλους της πεζοπορίας. Η Παναγιά η Κρυφτή, ο Όλυμπος και ο Καστανιώνας της Αγιάσου, η Αγία Μαρίνα στη θέση Πρόβασμα, η κοιλάδα της Λιγώνας στο Πετρί και ο προφήτης Ηλίας είναι μερικές από τις βάσεις για εξαιρετικές πεζοπορικές διαδρομές στα μονοπάτια της Λέσβου.
Το Απολιθωμένο Δάσος
Σημαντικό μνημείο γεωλογικής κληρονομιάς, το απολιθωμένο δάσος στο Σιγρί καλύπτεται από ηφαιστειακά πετρώματα εδώ και 20 εκατομμύρια χρόνια. Τα μονοπάτια της λάβας και της στάχτης «στολίζονται» από απολιθωμένους κορμούς που φτάνουν… ως τα 30 μέτρα κάτω από το νερό. Περισσότερα θα μάθετε στο Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας του νησιού.
Οι καταρράκτες
Δεκατέσσερις καταρράκτες και ένα φράγμα συνθέτουν το υδάτινο προφίλ της Λέσβου. Από τους εντυπωσιακότερους είναι οι καταρράκτες Μαν’ κάτσα, με νερά που πέφτουν από πελώρια σκουρόχρωμα βράχια 15-20 μέτρων. Εδώ οργανώνονται αναρριχήσεις, ραπέλ και άλλα φυσιολατρικά σπορ.
Οι παραλίες
Τα παγωμένα νερά της Λέσβου βρέχουν όμορφες παραλίες, οργανωμένες και μη. Από τις οργανωμένες, εγγύηση αποτελούν οι παραλιές των Βατερών, της Ερεσού και του Αγίου Ισίδωρου στο Πλωμάρι, που είναι δημοφιλείς στους επισκέπτες του νησιού, με αρκετά beach bars, αλλά παραμένουν όμορες και καθαρές. Μια παραλία που χαίρονταν μόνο οι ντόπιοι -αλλά το μυστικό αρχίζει να διαρρέει- είναι αυτή του Παπά (ή Καμήλα) με την υπέροχη λευκή άμμο. Κόκκινη άμμο θα βρείτε στα Τσόνια (και δίπλα μερικά όμορφα ταβερνάκια), ενώ πιο νεανική και κυκλαδίτικη είναι η παραλία του Γαβαθά. Ελεύθερες παραλίες θα βρείτε στην Εφταλού (η Χρυσή Ακτή φημίζεται για τα κρύα αλλά πεντακάθαρα νερά), ενώ οι γυμνιστές προτιμούν το τέρμα της παραλίας του Μολύβου, με υπέροχη θέα στον οικισμό και το κάστρο.

Πού θα … αγκυροβολήσει το yacht ο Ρονάλντο;
Ο Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο αναχώρησε ως γνωστό από το ξενοδοχειακό συγκρότημα “Costa Navarino” στη Μεσσηνία, με κατεύθυνση το Τορίνο. Η Γιουβέντους παρουσιάζει σήμερα επίσημα στην επονομαζόμενη «Πόλη των Βιομηχάνων», τον Πορτογαλικής καταγωγής super star, ο οποίος θα λαμβάνει μια ετήσια αμοιβή που οι κοινοί θνητοί δεν μπορούν καν να ονειρευτούν. Οι εργαζόμενοι της Fiat, η οποία ανήκει στην πανίσχυρη οικογένεια Ανιέλλι (ο Αντρέα Ανιέλλι είναι ο πρόεδρος της πασίγνωστης ιταλικής ομάδας), διαμαρτύρονται για τις δύσκολες συνθήκες εργασίας και τις χαμηλές μηνιαίες αποδοχές τους. Οι υπάλληλοι της φημισμένης αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίας νοιώθουν κάτι σαν… απόγνωση όταν πληροφορούνται την αστρονομική αμοιβή του ποδοσφαιριστή και έπειτα «αντικρίζουν» τους πενιχρούς τραπεζικούς λογαριασμούς τους. Ο Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο λίγο ενδιαφέρεται για όλα αυτά. Το φτωχόπαιδο από την Πορτογαλία, ζει στο δικό του, χρυσοποίκιλτο πλανήτη, με τα εκατομμύρια να «τρέχουν» μπροστά στα πόδια του. Ένα αστραφτερό life style με βίλες που μοιάζουν με ανάκτορα, στα προάστια της Μαδρίτης, διαμερίσματα στο Λονδίνο και τη Νέα Υόρκη, ιδιωτικά αεροπλάνα και super yachts. Η ζωή του μοιάζει με παραμύθι…
Το yacht με το vip room και το private jet
Τα προηγούμενα καλοκαίρια (μετά τη λήξη της ποδοσφαιρικής περιόδου) τα «αφιέρωνε» σε κρουαζιέρες με το yacht του στη Μεσόγειο. Ξεκινούσε από τα κοντινά, κοσμοπολίτικα spots. Την θορυβώδη Ίμπιζα με τα τεράστια κλαμπ και τους διάσημους D.J., την Μαρμπέγια, την Costa Brava και άλλες περιοχές. Αργότερα κατηφόριζε στη Νότιο Γαλλία, τα ελληνικά νησιά (πάντα επισκεπτόταν τη Μύκονο) και κάποιες φορές κατέληγε στο Κάπρι και τη Σαρδηνία. O Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο είναι ιδιοκτήτης του “Palmer Johnson Ascari”, ένα super yacht, το οποίο προσφέρει την πολυτέλεια όπως ακριβώς την φαντάζεται ο star. Το yacht, πέρα από τις κατάλευκες καμπίνες, με τις «γκρι» λεπτομέρειες και τους πολλούς καθρέφτες, διαθέτει VIP room, για τους προσκεκλημένους του (αρέσει στον Κριστιάνο να καλεί πολλούς φίλους, ίσως γι’ αυτό είναι αρκετοί αυτοί που αποκαλούν το πλωτό του βασίλειο “party yacht”) και πολλά άλλα “incredible features”. Ο star συνήθιζε να αγκυροβολεί το yacht του σε παραθαλάσσιο spot της Ισπανίας. Πού θα «αγκυροβολήσει» τώρα το super yacht του; Σίγουρα σε κάποιο λιμάνι της Ιταλίας μετά την ηχηρή μεταγραφή του στην Γιουβέντους. Ο Κριστιάνο Ρονάλντο όπως και οι Νεϊμάρ, Μέσι, Μπέκαμ, Ιμπράμοβιτς κ.α., διαθέτουν και υπερπολυτελή private jets. Ο Ρονάλντο πάντως διαθέτει το ακριβότερο. Ένα Gulfstream G650. Το καλύτερο και ταχύτερο το οποίο φέρει τον αριθμό της φανέλας του super star. Τον αριθμό επτά…

Στη ΔΕΘ θα κάνει πρεμιέρα το “Ασημένιο Βέλος” το νέο τρένο της ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ
Θα τρέχει ως και 200 χιλιόμετρα την ώρα
Στην 83η Διεθνή Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης θα παρουσιαστεί απο την ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, το νέο τροχαίο υλικό που προτίθεται η εταιρεία να δρομολογήσει στη γραμμή Αθήνα- Θεσσαλονίκη, το προσεχές διάστημα.
Πρόκειται για το «Ασημένιο Βέλος – Frecciargento» της ιταλικής εταιρείας Ferrovie, ιδιοκτήτριας πλέον η ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ, που μπορεί να διανύει αποστάσεις με μεγάλες ταχύτητες ως και 200 χιλιόμετρα την ώρα.
Μάλιστα δοκιμαστικά δρομολόγια αναμένεται να γίνουν το επόμενο διάστημα – και με την άφιξη του συρμού στην Ελλάδα- στη γραμμή Θεσσαλονίκη – Λάρισα.
Για τον σκοπό αυτό, αναχωρούν για την Ιταλία, τρεις Έλληνες μηχανοδηγοί προκειμένου να λάβουν την απαραίτητη εκπαίδευση στον συρμό.
Το υπερσύγχρονο τρένο θα είναι αυτό που, μόλις ολοκληρωθούν οι απαραίτητες υποδομές για την ηλεκτροκίνηση, θα κάνει τη διαδρομή Αθήνα – Θεσσαλονίκη σε 3 ώρες και 20 λεπτά.

Το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Θεσσαλονίκης παρουσιάζει την έκθεση “GREEK BODY OVERLAYS” του Gerald Pryor, Αμερικανού καλλιτέχνη και καθηγητή φωτογραφίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Νέας Υόρκης NYU Steinhardt, σε επιμέλεια της δρ. Θάλειας Βραχοπούλου, καθηγήτριας της Φιλοσοφίας της Τέχνης, με έδρα τη Νέα Υόρκη.
Η έκθεση, που θα παρουσιαστεί από τις 17 Ιουλίου έως τις 30 Σεπτεμβρίου 2018, περιλαμβάνει δώδεκα έργα, τη νέα δουλειά του καλλιτέχνη, που χρησιμοποιεί τη ζωγραφική και τη φωτογραφία ως ένα ενιαίο εκφραστικό μέσο.
O καλλιτέχνης εκκινεί από αποτυπώματα του ανθρώπινου σώματος πάνω σε φύλλα αλουμινίου: απλώνει χρώμα τέμπερας στο ίδιο του το σώμα και αρχίζει να κυλιέται, να μετακινείται, να στέκεται, να γονατίζει και οι κινήσεις αυτές, καταγραμμένες πάνω στα διαφορετικά στρώματα χρωμάτων, εντυπώνονται στη ζωγραφική επιφάνεια σε μια προσπάθεια να της προσδώσουν ζωή. Μόλις ολοκληρωθεί το ζωγραφικό μέρος, φωτογραφίζεται σε σχεδόν απόλυτο σκοτάδι με φλας.
Ο Pryor επιτρέπει, έτσι, στην τυχαία φωτεινότητα του φλας να είναι αυτή που θα καθορίσει το τελικό εικαστικό αποτέλεσμα. Επιχειρεί να διερευνήσει τη δυναμική ενός ζωγραφικού έργου στο σκοτάδι μέσω της φωτογραφικής του αναπαράστασης. Μόλις ολοκληρωθεί αυτή η διαδικασία, αναζητά ανάμεσα σε φωτογραφίες που έβγαλε στην Ελλάδα τον Ιούνιο του 2016, να βρει αυτήν που θα αποτελέσει τη βάση για το έργο του σε σχέση με την αρχαία τέχνη.
Σύμφωνα με τον Pryor, «η σπουδαιότητα του ανθρώπινου σώματος είναι ο κύριος άξονας στην αρχαία ελληνική τέχνη, όπως φαίνεται και από τα αγάλματα των Κούρων αλλά και μεταγενέστερα γλυπτά». Παράλληλα, ο καλλιτέχνης αξιοποιεί συνήθη διακοσμητικά μοτίβα των αρχαίων ελληνικών ψηφιδωτών, που του επιτρέπουν την ανάδειξη μιας αισθητικής έμπλεης νοημάτων και χαράς.
Με την ψηφιακή επεξεργασία αυτών των φωτογραφικών απεικονίσεων, με τις χρωματικές επικαλύψεις, τη δημιουργία διπτύχων και την αδιαφάνεια, επιχειρείται μια διαρκής σωματική διάδραση του καλλιτέχνη με την αρχαία Ελλάδα. Οι τελικές φωτογραφίες εκτυπώνονται σε μεγάλα φύλλα χαρτιού, σε εκτυπωτή ψεκασμού μελάνης.
Με αυτήν τη “σωματοποιημένη” φωτογραφική αλληλουχία, μέσα από το φλας της φωτογραφικής κάμερας, ο Αμερικανός καλλιτέχνης επιδιώκει να συνομιλήσει με την αρχαιοελληνική κληρονομιά.

Η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας προχωρά στην ανάδειξη του τουρισμού ιστορικής μνήμης
Στο πλαίσιο των συντονισμένων δράσεων της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας για την ανάδειξη του τουρισμού ιστορικής μνήμης, τα συμμαχικά στρατιωτικά μνημεία του Κιλκίς που σχετίζονται με τον Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο πρωταγωνιστούν σε ολοσέλιδη καταχώριση του βρετανικού τουριστικού οργανισμού “Planet Holidays”, με τίτλο “SALONICA FRONT WWI THESSALONIKI-KILKIS”.
Πρόκειται για ολοσέλιδη καταχώριση σχετική με το Μέτωπο Θεσσαλονίκης-Κιλκίς, άρτια τόσο σε φωτογραφικό υλικό όσο και σε γενικότερες πληροφορίες για την περιοχή, τους κατοίκους και τις δραστηριότητες τους, που εντάσσεται στην συνολική προσπάθεια ανάδειξης των στρατιωτικών μνημείων και μουσείων της Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας που έχουν αναφορά στον Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο.
Η καταχώριση επισημαίνει την ιδιαίτερη πολεμική δράση που έλαβε χώρα στο νομό Κιλκίς με τις πλέον αιματηρές μάχες, με αποκορύφωμα τις μάχες Σκρα και Δοϊράνης, ενώ γίνεται αναφορά σε όλα τα συμμαχικά στρατιωτικά μνημεία της περιοχής (Κρηστώνη, Πολυκάστρο, Δοϊράνη, Σκρα) και την ιστορία της.
Ο ίδιος τουριστικός οργανισμός παρουσιάζει το Μέτωπο της Θεσσαλονίκης (“SALONICA FRONT WORLD WAR I”) στη βρετανική εφημερίδα “Daily Mail” του Λονδίνου ως ένα από τα δέκα καλύτερα Memorial Tours στην Ευρώπη.
Την καμπάνια προβολής των συμμαχικών στρατιωτικών μνημείων του Κιλκίς υλοποιεί εδώ και τρία χρόνια το Γραφείο Τουρισμού Κιλκίς της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Κιλκίς, σε συνεργασία με το γραφείο Marketing Pass Partout και τον Οργανισμό Τουρισμού Θεσσαλονίκης, υπό την αιγίδα της Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας.
Στην προσπάθεια ανάδειξης των μνημείων του Κιλκίς συμμετέχουν η Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Κιλκίς, τα πολεμικά Μουσεία του νομού, το Πολεμικό Μουσείο Θεσσαλονίκης και με τους αρμόδιους φορείς των στρατιωτικών σχηματισμών της περιοχής. Ήδη έχουν προγραμματιστεί κοινές δράσεις και έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί σχετικές συσκέψεις, με κορύφωση τις εκδηλώσεις μνήμης για τα 100 χρόνια από τη λήξη του Α’ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου στο τέλος Σεπτεμβρίου.

Το Ηρώδειο: θερινό σινεμά για μία μέρα
Μετά τη μεταμόρφωση των Ηλυσίων Πεδίων σε θερινό σινεμά, για ένα μόλις βράδυ, το πείραμα της υπαίθριας προβολής σε κάποιο ιστορικό μνημείο επαναλαμβάνεται και στην Αθήνα.
Η συγκεκριμένη εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε το προηγούμενο Σάββατο 14 Ιουλίου στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών και Επιδαύρου. Η Ταινιοθήκη της Ελλάδος μετέτρεψε το Ηρώδειο σε θερινό σινεμά και παρουσίασε δύο βωβές ταινίες με συνοδεία ορχηστρας.
Πρόκειται για τις ταινίες «Δάφνις και Χλόη» του Ορέστη Λάσκου (1931) και «Αστέρω» του Δημήτρη Γαζιάδη (1929) που σημάδεψαν τον πρώιμο ελληνικό κινηματογράφο και αποκαταστάθηκαν στην Ταινιοθήκη.
«Δάφνις και Χλόη»
Η ταινία «Δάφνις και Χλόη», η πρώτη σκηνοθετική δουλειά του Ορέστη Λάσκου, μεταφέρει στην οθόνη το ομώνυμο ειδύλλιο του Λόγγου (2ος αιώνας μ.Χ.), ένα από τα πρώτα μυθιστορήματα της παγκόσμιας λογοτεχνίας, που επηρέασε από τον Σαίξπηρ μέχρι τον Τουρκουάτο Τάσσο και τον Ζακ Ανρί Μπερναρντέν. Αφηγείται την ιστορία δύο νέων παιδιών που, ζώντας στη φύση, ανακαλύπτουν σιγά-σιγα τις χαρές του έρωτα.
Το φιλμ έχει περάσει στην ιστορία ως η πρώτη ταινία με γυμνό στον ευρωπαϊκό κινηματογράφο. Γυρίστηκε στην Μυτιλήνη και στην Λίμνη της Βουλιαγμένης σε φυσικά ντεκόρ, με πρωταγωνιστές τη Λούση Ματλή και τον Απόλλωνα Μαρσύα. Το Τμήμα Συντήρησης και Αποκατάστασης της Ταινιοθήκης, κατόρθωσε να αποκαταστήσει το υλικό με την επίβλεψη και τη συνεργασία του ίδιου του σκηνοθέτη που προσπάθησε να «θυμηθεί» την ταινία (και τους μεσότιτλους) καρέ-καρέ.
Το έργο ήταν δύσκολο καθώς τα πρωτότυπα αρνητικά της βωβής ταινίας είχαν καεί. Από τα σκόρπια φιλμ που διασώθηκαν ο Λάσκος έφτιαξε στην περίοδο της κατοχής (1942) ένα ενδιάμεσο αρνητικό (duplicate negative) με καινούργιο μοντάζ από το οποίο τύπωνε κόπιες ομιλούσες.
Στην κατοχή της Ταινιοθήκης βρίσκονταν δύο από αυτές τις ομιλούσες κόπιες της ταινίας Δάφνις και Χλόη, η μία με αγγλικούς υπότιτλους, τις οποίες ο Λάσκος είχε παραχωρήσει στην αείμνηστη Αγλαία Μητροπούλου, ιδρύτρια της Ταινιοθήκης και μητέρα της Μαρίας Κομνηνού (σημερινής προέδρου του ιδρύματος).
Ωστόσο, η Ταινιοθήκη θεώρησε σημαντικό να διασώσει και να αποκαταστήσει την πρωτότυπη βωβή εκδοχή της ταινίας.
«Αστέρω»
Στην «Αστέρω» του Δημήτρη Γαζιάδη, που βασίζεται σε ένα κείμενο του Παύλου Νιρβάνα, η βοσκοπούλα Αστέρω (Αλίκη Θεοδωρίδου) είναι ερωτευμένη με τον Θύμιο (Κώστας Μουσούρης) αλλά συναντά την άρνηση του πατέρα του πλούσιου βοσκού (Αιμίλιος Βεάκης). Το ζευγάρι θα ξανασμίξει μετά από μεγάλες περιπέτειες. Το στόρι είναι μεταφορά στα καθ’ ημάς της γνωστής «Ραμόνα». Το νέο αυτό είδος της «φουστανέλας» είχε τις απαρχές του στο θέατρο με τον «Αγαπητικό της βοσκοπούλας» του Δημήτρη Κορομηλά. Η εξιδανίκευση της ελληνικής υπαίθρου, που την εποχή εκείνη μαστίζεται από τα δεινά της παγκόσμιας κρίσης, λειτουργεί ως διέξοδος απέναντι στις αντίξοες συνθήκες της καθημερινότητας. Η αποκατάσταση της ταινίας βασίστηκε στην κόπια με γαλλικούς μεσότιτλους που ανακαλύφθηκε στη Γαλλική Ταινιοθήκη το 2003.
Οι δύο ταινίες, πριν από την ψηφιακή αποκατάσταση τους, είχαν προβληθεί στο Μουσείο Μοντέρνας Τέχνης της Νέας Υόρκης και στο πλαίσιο του φεστιβάλ Cinema Ritrovato στη Μπολόνια.
Η προβολή έγινε με τη συνοδεία μουσικής, σε πρωτότυπη σύνθεση και εκτέλεση του Φίλιππου Τσαλαχούρη.

Clark began with guest spots on radio when she was only 9 and made her first film a year later. ‘Put Your Shoes On Lucy’ was released as her debut release in 1949, her ‘The Little Shoemaker’ became her first U.K. hit in 1954. | |
1959, Billie Holiday died in a New York City hospital from cirrhosis of the liver after years of alcohol abuse, aged 43. (While under arrest for heroin possession, with Police officers stationed at the door to her room.) In the final years of her life, she had been progressively swindled out of her earnings, and she died with $0.70 in the bank. | |
1965, King Records released 'Papa's Got a Brand New Bag' by James Brown, which went on to sell over 2 million copies and receive the Grammy Award for best for Best Rhythm & Blues Recording. 'Papa's Got a Brand New Bag' is considered seminal in the emergence of funk music as a distinct style. | |
