Cliff Richard says 'cloud has lifted'

 το μεγαλύτερο ξενοδοχείο του κόσμου  ανοίγει τις πύλες του το 2017! 

Συνώνυμο της χλιδής και της πολυτέλειας πρόκειται να αποτελέσει το ξενοδοχείο Abraj Kudai hotel, στην ιερή πόλη της Μέκκας, στη Σαουδική Αραβία. Πρόκειται για ένα ιδιαίτερα φιλοδοξο και δαπανηρό project του Υπουργείου Οικονομικών του βασιλείου, που βρίσκεται στο τελικό στάδιο κατασκευής του και θα ανοίξει τις πόρτες του στο κοινό το 2017.

Το μέγεθός του είναι ασύλληπτο, με 45 ορόφους, 10.000 δωμάτια, 70 εστιατόρια και 4 ελικοδρόμια. Το ίδιο ασύλληπτο είναι και το ποσό που θα δαπανηθεί για την κατασκευή του, που αγγίζει τα 3,5 δισ. δολάρια.

Το απαιτητικό κομμάτι της εσωτερικής διακόσμησης έχε αναλάβει να φέρει σε πέρας μέχρι το 2017, η εταιρεία Areen Hospitality, που έχει την έδρα της στο  Λονδίνο. Το τεράστιο αυτό εγχείρημα αναμένεται να αποτελέσει ένα ακόμη παράγοντα που θα προσελκύσει τη high society του πλανήτη στη γενέτειρα του Μωμάμεθ.

Η χλιδή και η άνεση φτάνουν στο αποκορύφωμά τους στο εν λόγω ξενοδοχείο, καθώς πέντε από τους ορόφους του σχεδιάζονται αποκλειστικά για τα μέλη της βασιλικής οικογένειας της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, ενώ προβλέπονται ξεχωριστοί όροφοι για γαλαζοαίματους επισκέπτες.

Παρόλο που έχει ανακοινωθεί ότι το ξενοδοχείο θα ανοίξει τις πύλες του το 2017, η πτώση της τιμής του πετρελαίου και τα προβλήματα που αυτή δημιούργησε στην οικονομία της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, θέτουν εν αμφιβόλω την ακριβή ημερομηνία των εγκαινίων του μεγαλοπρεπούς καταλύματος.

Όταν το Abraj Kudai hotel ανοίξει τις πύλες του, θα είναι το μεγαλύτερο ξενοδοχείο στον κόσμο «ρίχνοντας» στην δεύτερη θέση του βάθρου το First World Hotel στη  Μαλαισία, το μεγαλύτερο, προς το παρόν ξενοδοχείο στον πλανήτη, που αριθμεί 7.351 δωμάτια.
