Beyonce and Prince dominate UK chart

Beyonce and Prince have dominated the UK album chart this week, with Beyonce's Lemonade at one and Prince albums taking the next three places. 

They also have multiple entries in the singles chart, where Drake remains top. 

Beyonce's "visual album" sold 73,000 copies, making it the second-fastest selling artist record of 2016, behind David Bowie's Blackstar.

Fifteen of Prince's albums made it into the chart as fans rushed to buy his music following his sudden death. 

Six are in the top 40 with The Very Best Of, Ultimate and Purple Rain at two, three and four. 

In the midweek chart Prince had held every spot in the top five, but many retailers ran out of physical stock at the start of the week and could not keep up with fan demand. The singer's catalogue is also only available on streaming service Tidal, limiting its reach.

Record label Warner Music, which published most of his classic albums, said more CDs were being pressed this week.

Ultimate, which was released in 2006, reached a new peak at three after first only making it to number six when it was first released in 2006. 

The Purple Rain soundtrack at four, is up on its previous peak of seven when it was first released in 1984. Dirty Mind, which entered the chart at 61, did not previously chart in the UK.

Beyonce's Lemonade sold 10,000 copies via streaming - which is the biggest streaming sales since they were introduced into the chart last year. 

In the singles chart, Beyonce has six tracks in the top 40 - the highest being Hold Up at 17. Formation, Sorry, 6 Inch, Don't Hurt Yourself and Freedom also made the top 40.

Six Prince tracks entered the top 100, with Purple Rain the highest entry at number six. The track peaked at eight when it was first released in 1984. 

When Doves Cry, Kiss, Raspberry Beret, 1999 and Little Red Corvette also all charted.

Drake remained at number one for a third consecutive week with One Dance with sales of 129,000, which include 50,000 downloads and a record-breaking 7.86 million streams. 

It is the highest number of track streams in a week ever recorded, beating Adele's Hello which reached 7.32 million plays on its release week in October.

Elsewhere in the album chart Adele's 25 fell out of the top five for the first time since its release in November. 

Katherine Jenkins was at seven with Celebration, her album commemorating the Queen's 90th birthday. It is also number one on the classical album chart - giving the singer a record 12th UK classical number one, ahead of violinist Andre Rieu's 11. 

Three other new entries in the album chart top 40 were Katy B's Honey at 22, Sandy Denny's I've Always Kept A Unicorn at 31, and Julian Ovenden's Be My Love at 37.

Ενα παλιό ξενοδοχείο στο Πυργί της Κέρκυρας μετατράπηκε 

σε παλάτι για τη βασιλική οικογένεια του Κατάρ, που μέσα 

στον Μάιο αναμένεται να το επισκεφτεί για πρώτη φόρα.

Ο επίγειος παράδεισος είναι αυστηρά ιδιωτικός και δημιουργήθηκε ώστε οι 

γαλαζοαίματοι να περνούν εκεί τις διακοπές τους.

Η πολυτέλεια είναι ευδιάκριτη σε όλους τους χώρους, με το σκηνικό να θυμίζει 

«χίλιες και μία νύχτες», με τα εντυπωσιακά βιτρό και τις χρυσές λεπτομέρειες να

 «κλέβουν» την παράσταση.

Οπως αναφέρει η Real News, το πρώην ξενοδοχείο είχε 60 δωμάτια, τα οποία μετά

 τις εντατικές εργασίες έγιναν 16, ώστε να υπάρχει άνεση σε κάθε χώρο.

Η βασιλική οικογένεια του Κατάρ λατρεύει τα ελληνικά νησιά και ειδικά του Ιονίου

Ο σεΐχης Χαμάντ Μπιν Καλίφα Αλ Θανί, ο οποίος έχει παραδώσει από το 2013

ανατροπής του πατέρα του, όταν αυτός απουσίαζε στο εξωτερικό, αναλαμβάνοντας

Eurovision final to be shown on US television

The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live on US TV for the first time this month.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has reached a deal with Viacom-owned cable network Logo to air the event on 14 May.

Eurovision executive Jon Ola Sand said he was "thrilled" the final would be "broadcast live in one of the biggest TV markets for the very first time."

The 61st Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Stockholm from 10 to 14 May.

The Swedish capital previously played host to the competition in 1975 and 2000.

'Campiest music competition'

This year's event will feature entries from 42 countries - the largest number of competitors since 2011.

There will be two semi-finals, on 10 and 12 May.

Rock legends to play US 'mega-festival'

Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan have been confirmed for the line-up of a US "mega-festival" this October.

Called Desert Trip, the three-day event will take place at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California - the site of the Coachella music festival.

Tickets start at $200 (£137) per day, rising to $1,599 (£1,097) for a three-day pass for the area near the stage.

The Who, Roger Waters and Neil Young are also on the bill.

Performances will start after sunset, with each artist playing a full set. 

Rumours about the show began to circulate last month, after the first weekend of Coachella.

The Who's Roger Daltrey later confirmed to BBC 6 Music that the festival was likely to go ahead, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime line-up.

"We have to face it, we are [at] the end of an era," the singer told 6 Music's Matt Everitt. "We're the last of our generation."

"You can see from reading the obituaries lately that we [rock stars] don't make old bones very well, do we?"

The LA Times said Dylan and the Stones were expected to open the festival with back-to-back performances on Friday, 7 October, with McCartney and Young playing the following night, and Waters and the Who concluding proceedings on 9 October.

"I don't think any of us cares who goes on first," said Daltrey. "We've never worried about that. The music is all so different, that's not going to matter at all."

The gigs will be scheduled as follows:

• Friday, 7 October: The Rolling Stones, with Bob Dylan and His Band
• Saturday, 8 October: Paul McCartney with Neil Young + Promise of the Real
• Sunday, 9 October: Roger Waters with The Who.
