Από τα χωριά κάτω από ογκόλιθους στην Πορτογαλία, μέχρι τα πλωτά χωριά του Περού, αυτοί οι οικισμοί είναι κρυμμένοι από τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο, αλλά ζουν στον δικό τους παράδεισο! 1. Aogashima, Θάλασσα των Φιλιππίνων Ίσως το τελευταίο μέρος που θα περίμενε κανείς να βρει μια ζωντανή κοινότητα, είναι μέσα σε ένα τροπικό ηφαιστειογενές νησί, στη Θάλασσα των Φιλιππίνων! Η τελευταία φορά που το ηφαίστειο Class C ξέσπασε ήταν τη δεκαετία του 1780, και αποδείχθηκε μοιραία για το μισό πληθυσμό του νησιού. Πάνω από πενήντα χρόνια αργότερα, οι κάτοικοι που είχαν φύγει τότε, επέστρεψαν, και τώρα υπάρχουν 200 γενναίους χωρικοί! 2. Monemvasia, Ελλάδα Η Μονεμβασιά είναι ένας μικρός οικισμός που κρύβεται πίσω από έναν τεράστιο βράχο στη Λακωνία της Ελλάδας. Το νησί χωρίστηκε από την ηπειρωτική χώρα το 375 μ.Χ. λόγω σεισμού, αν και ένας μικρός διάδρομος έχει δημιουργηθεί για την εύκολη πρόσβαση στην ενδοχώρα.Οι κάτοικοι, κρυμμένοι από τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο, απολαμβάνουν καθημερινά την καταπληκτική θέα στον κόλπο της Παλαιάς Μονεμβασιάς. 3. Phugtal Monastery, Ινδία Το κρυφό χωριό της Μονής Phuktal, που κρέμεται στο γκρεμό, είναι ένα από τα πιο απομονωμένα μοναστήρια στη βόρεια Ινδία. Κατασκευασμένο από λάσπη και ξύλο, βρίσκεται στην είσοδο μιας σπηλιάς, πάνω σε ένα βράχο, στη νότιο-ανατολική περιοχή Zanskar. Furore, Ιταλία Στην επαρχία Σαλέρνο, στην Ιταλία, βρίσκεται ένα από τα πιο όμορφα μέρη της Ευρώπης. Το Furore είναι το «χωριό που δεν υπάρχει», στην Ακτή του Αμάλφι. Δεν υπάρχει κεντρική πλατεία, ενώ ο οικισμός είναι χτισμένος στα βράχια, ανάμεσα σε λεμονιές. Πριν από χρόνια ο δήμαρχος του οικισμού αποφάσισε να ξαναβάλει το χωριό στον χάρτη. Διέταξε το κάθε σπίτι να βαφτεί σε έντονο χρώμα έτσι ώστε να μη περνά απαρατήρητο από τα βλέμματα των ταξιδιωτών. Η παράδοση αυτή διατηρείται μέχρι και σήμερα ενώ κάθε Σεπτέμβριο καλλιτέχνες από όλον τον κόσμο συρρέουν στην περιοχή για να πάρουν μέρος σε μια πρωτότυπη διοργάνωση που τους δίνει τη δυνατότητα να βάψουν τις προσόψεις των κτιρίων με τα χρώματα τις αρεσκείας τους. 10. Sapa, Βιετνάμ Το χωριό Sapa του Βορείου Βιετνάμ, εκτείνεται στη συγκλονιστικά όμορφη έκταση ρων πράσινων ορυζώνων. Οι άνθρωποι της φυλής είναι πολύ φιλόξενοι και ανοίγουν τα σπίτια τους στους τουρίστες που συρρέουν. Οι επισκέπτες μπορούν κάνουν πεζοπορία στους λόφους και να αγοράσουν πολύχρωμα, διακοσμητικά αντικείμενα από τους κατοίκους που τους συνοδεύουν στην βόλτα. 11. Coober Pedy, Αυστραλία Το χωριό Coober Pedy, στο βόρειο τμήμα της Νότιας Αυστραλίας, είναι μια μικρή πόλη, κρυμμένη σε υπόγειες σπηλιές, που κατασκευάστηκαν για να αντέχουν οι κάτοικοι τις απίστευτα υψηλές θερμοκρασίες το πρωί. Supai, Αριζόνα Εκατομμύρια άνθρωποι ταξιδεύουν στο Grand Canyon κάθε χρόνο, αλλά λίγοι γνωρίζουν ότι αυτή στην Αριζόνα ζει μια μυστική φυλή. Περισσότεροι από 600 άνθρωποι είναι μέρος της φυλής Havasupai, που είναι το μικρότερο ινδικό έθνος στην Αμερική. Οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να φτάσουν εκεί με τα πόδια, με ελικόπτερο ή με μουλάρι, και ζήσουν για λίγο στο χωριό, που διαθέτει ένα καφέ, γενικές αποθήκες, ένα καταφύγιο, ταχυδρομείο, σχολείο, παρεκκλήσι, και μια μικρή χριστιανική εκκλησία. 14. Η φυλή Uru φυλή κατοικεί στα 42 νησιά που είναι φτιαγμένα από καλάμια Totora. Αυτά τα καλάμια αποτελούν και μεγάλο μέρος της διατροφής τους, καθώς καταναλώνουν το άσπρο τους κομμάτι! 16. Monsanto, Πορτογαλία Η ζωή κάτω από μια "στέγη"που ζυγίζει παραπάνω απ'ό,τι ένα κρουαζιερόπλοιο, θα άγχωνε τους περισσότερους ανθρώπους. Γι'αυτό λοιπόν, στο πορτογαλικό χωριό Monsanto, τα σπίτια βρίσκονται γύρω από τους γιγαντιαίους, γρανιτένιους ογκόλιθους. |

EΠΕΚΤΕΙΝΕΤΑΙ Ο ΟΜΙΛΟΣ ΜΟΥΖΕΝΙΔΗ
Μετά τη σύνδεση με Σμύρνη, η αεροπορική εταιρεία του ομίλου Μουζενίδη εγκαινιάζει από τον Οκτώβριο την καθημερινή σύνδεση Θεσσαλονίκης - Αθήνας.
Περισσότεροι από 300.000 επιβάτες υπολογίζεται ότι θα πετάξουν με τα φτερά της Ellinair του ομίλου Μουζενίδη, μέχρι το τέλος της φετινής high season στον τουρισμό, η οποία για την επόμενη θερινή σεζόν, επεκτείνει το δίκτυο εξωτερικού σε δέκα ακόμη χώρες, συνδέοντας έτσι την Ελλάδα με συνολικά 15 διεθνείς προορισμούς.
Στο δίκτυο των διεθνών πτήσεων προστίθενται η Αρμενία, η Εσθονία, η Γερμανία, η Ουγγαρία, το Ισραήλ, το Καζακστάν, η Μολδαβία, η Πολωνία, η Ρουμανία και η Σερβία.
Τα παραπάνω ανακοινώθηκαν στη διάρκεια εκδήλωσης με αντικείμενο τη δρομολόγηση της νέας πτήσης της Ellinair, που από τις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου, θα συνδέει δύο φορές την εβδομάδα- κάθε Τρίτη και Σάββατο- το αεροδρόμιο «Μακεδονία» της Θεσσαλονίκης, με τη Σμύρνη, εξυπηρετώντας την τουριστική και επιχειρηματική κίνηση, μεταξύ των δύο πόλεων, που σήμερα εξυπηρετείται αεροπορικά μέσω Κωνσταντινούπολης, είτε οδικώς με λεωφορεία.
Στην εκδήλωση, που πραγματοποιήθηκε παρουσία του δημάρχου Θεσσαλονίκης Γιάννη Μπουτάρη, αλλά και του προέδρου του Ομίλου Μουζενίδης, Μπόρις Μουζενίδη, ο εμπορικός διευθυντής της αεροπορικής εταιρείας κ. Σταύρος Δαλιάκας, ανακοίνωσε ότι μετά τη δρομολόγηση της πτήσης Θεσσαλονίκη - Σμύρνη, τον Οκτώβριο, από τις 15 του μήνα, εγκαινιάζεται μία νέα πτήση εσωτερικού, που δύο φορές την ημέρα θα κάνει το δρομολόγιο Θεσσαλονίκη - Αθήνα.
Η Ellinair, για τη φετινή θερινή περίοδο, έκανε μεγάλα ανοίγματα, κυρίως στις πτήσεις εσωτερικού, με τις οποίες εξυπηρέτησε την κίνηση προς Ηράκλειο, Σαντορίνη, Μύκονο, Ρόδο και Ζάκυνθο, μεταφέροντας περισσότερους από 52.000 επιβάτες. Μάλιστα η πτήση Θεσσαλονίκη - Ηράκλειο θα συνεχιστεί και το χειμώνα.
Στις πτήσεις εσωτερικού ο δείκτης πληρότητας άγγιξε το 72,3%, ενώ οι δείκτες πληρότητας για Σαντορίνη και Ηράκλειο ξεπερνούν το 80% ως το τέλος Σεπτεμβρίου.
Η ανάπτυξη της Ellinair συνδέεται με την προσθήκη νέων αεροσκαφών στο στόλο της. Στα δύο ιδιόκτητα RJ85/ 96 θέσεων, προστέθηκε στις αρχές του φετινού καλοκαιριού, με μακροχρόνιο leasing (dry leasing), ένα Airbus 319, ενώ τα πρόσθετα δρομολόγια του καλοκαιριού, καλύπτονται με δύο Boeing 737/300 (wet leasing).
Τα σχέδια για περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη, περιλαμβάνουν την προμήθεια με μακροχρόνιο leasing ενός ακόμη Airbus 319.
Nα σημειωθεί ότι η εταιρεία που δημιουργήθηκε το 2013, απασχολεί σήμερα 100 άτομα προσωπικό και έχει περάσει, σύμφωνα με τον κ. Δαλιάκα, σε λειτουργική κερδοφορία.
Στη διάρκεια της σημερινής εκδήλωσης, παρουσιάσθηκαν και τα τουριστικά προγράμματα του ομίλου Μουζενίδης, τα οποία φυσικά συνδέονται με τη νέα γραμμή Θεσσαλονίκης - Σμύρνης.
Περισσότεροι από 300.000 επιβάτες υπολογίζεται ότι θα πετάξουν με τα φτερά της Ellinair του ομίλου Μουζενίδη, μέχρι το τέλος της φετινής high season στον τουρισμό, η οποία για την επόμενη θερινή σεζόν, επεκτείνει το δίκτυο εξωτερικού σε δέκα ακόμη χώρες, συνδέοντας έτσι την Ελλάδα με συνολικά 15 διεθνείς προορισμούς.
Στο δίκτυο των διεθνών πτήσεων προστίθενται η Αρμενία, η Εσθονία, η Γερμανία, η Ουγγαρία, το Ισραήλ, το Καζακστάν, η Μολδαβία, η Πολωνία, η Ρουμανία και η Σερβία.
Τα παραπάνω ανακοινώθηκαν στη διάρκεια εκδήλωσης με αντικείμενο τη δρομολόγηση της νέας πτήσης της Ellinair, που από τις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου, θα συνδέει δύο φορές την εβδομάδα- κάθε Τρίτη και Σάββατο- το αεροδρόμιο «Μακεδονία» της Θεσσαλονίκης, με τη Σμύρνη, εξυπηρετώντας την τουριστική και επιχειρηματική κίνηση, μεταξύ των δύο πόλεων, που σήμερα εξυπηρετείται αεροπορικά μέσω Κωνσταντινούπολης, είτε οδικώς με λεωφορεία.
Στην εκδήλωση, που πραγματοποιήθηκε παρουσία του δημάρχου Θεσσαλονίκης Γιάννη Μπουτάρη, αλλά και του προέδρου του Ομίλου Μουζενίδης, Μπόρις Μουζενίδη, ο εμπορικός διευθυντής της αεροπορικής εταιρείας κ. Σταύρος Δαλιάκας, ανακοίνωσε ότι μετά τη δρομολόγηση της πτήσης Θεσσαλονίκη - Σμύρνη, τον Οκτώβριο, από τις 15 του μήνα, εγκαινιάζεται μία νέα πτήση εσωτερικού, που δύο φορές την ημέρα θα κάνει το δρομολόγιο Θεσσαλονίκη - Αθήνα.
Η Ellinair, για τη φετινή θερινή περίοδο, έκανε μεγάλα ανοίγματα, κυρίως στις πτήσεις εσωτερικού, με τις οποίες εξυπηρέτησε την κίνηση προς Ηράκλειο, Σαντορίνη, Μύκονο, Ρόδο και Ζάκυνθο, μεταφέροντας περισσότερους από 52.000 επιβάτες. Μάλιστα η πτήση Θεσσαλονίκη - Ηράκλειο θα συνεχιστεί και το χειμώνα.
Στις πτήσεις εσωτερικού ο δείκτης πληρότητας άγγιξε το 72,3%, ενώ οι δείκτες πληρότητας για Σαντορίνη και Ηράκλειο ξεπερνούν το 80% ως το τέλος Σεπτεμβρίου.
Η ανάπτυξη της Ellinair συνδέεται με την προσθήκη νέων αεροσκαφών στο στόλο της. Στα δύο ιδιόκτητα RJ85/ 96 θέσεων, προστέθηκε στις αρχές του φετινού καλοκαιριού, με μακροχρόνιο leasing (dry leasing), ένα Airbus 319, ενώ τα πρόσθετα δρομολόγια του καλοκαιριού, καλύπτονται με δύο Boeing 737/300 (wet leasing).
Τα σχέδια για περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη, περιλαμβάνουν την προμήθεια με μακροχρόνιο leasing ενός ακόμη Airbus 319.
Nα σημειωθεί ότι η εταιρεία που δημιουργήθηκε το 2013, απασχολεί σήμερα 100 άτομα προσωπικό και έχει περάσει, σύμφωνα με τον κ. Δαλιάκα, σε λειτουργική κερδοφορία.
Στη διάρκεια της σημερινής εκδήλωσης, παρουσιάσθηκαν και τα τουριστικά προγράμματα του ομίλου Μουζενίδης, τα οποία φυσικά συνδέονται με τη νέα γραμμή Θεσσαλονίκης - Σμύρνης.

Τραγουδίστρια (σοπράνο) από το Περού, με απίστευτο εύρος φωνής, που ξεπερνούσε τις τέσσερεις οκτάβες.
Η Ίμα Σουμάκ (Yma Sumac) γεννήθηκε στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου 1922 στο χωριό Ιτσοκάν, που βρίσκεται στα ύψη των Άνδεων. Το πραγματικό όνομά της ήταν Ζοΐλα Αουγκούστα Εμπεατρίς Τσαβαρί ντε Καστίγιο. Υιοθέτησε το καλλιτεχνικό ψευδώνυμο Ίμα Σουμάκ, που στη γλώσσα των Ίνκας σημαίνει «Πόσο όμορφη».
Γρήγορα άρχισε να μιμείται με τη φωνή της τους φυσικούς ήχους και να τραγουδά θρησκευτικά τραγούδια των προγόνων της. Προτού κατακτήσει τον κόσμο είχε γίνει ο θρύλος του τραγουδιού στα χωριά των Άνδεων. Λόγω της καταγωγής της από τους Ίνκας, όπως διέδιδε ή ίδια, αλλά και της ασύλληπτης φωνής της, τη θεωρούσαν πρόσωπο ιερό και την αποκαλούσαν «Κόρη του Ήλιου».
Την ανακάλυψε το 1942 ο μαέστρος Μόιζες Βιβάνκο, ο επονομαζόμενος «Τζορτζ Γκέρσουιν του Περού». Εκείνος ήταν 17 κι εκείνη 13. Την παντρεύτηκε και την έκανε γνωστή σε όλο τον κόσμο. Τη δεκαετία του '50 η Ίμα Σουμάκ εγκαταστάθηκε στο Λος Άντζελες, όπου έζησε τα περισσότερα χρόνια της ζωής της.
Το ρεπερτόριό της περιλάμβανε παραδοσιακά τραγούδια του Περού και της Λατινικής Αμερικής, ενώ φλέρταρε και με την τζαζ. Η ίδια και πολλοί φανατικοί θαυμαστές της ισχυρίζονταν ότι η φωνή της εκτείνονταν σε πέντε οκτάβες. Γερμανοί ειδικοί που μέτρησαν την έκταση της φωνής της, τη βρήκαν στις 4,5 οκτάβες. Αυτό της δημιούργησε προβλήματα ρεπερτορίου, καθώς κανένας συνθέτης δεν έγραφε τραγούδια για τέτοιο εύρος φωνής. Μία αντιπροσωπευτική ανθολογία του έργου της με τίτλο Queen of Exotica κυκλοφόρησε το 2005.
Η Ίμα Σουμάκ έφυγε από τη ζωή την 1η Νοεμβρίου 2008, καταβεβλημένη από τον καρκίνο, που την ταλαιπωρούσε από τις αρχές του χρόνου. Όλη την απίστευτη έκταση της φωνής της μπορεί να την ακούσει κάποιος στο τραγούδι του 1950 Chuncho (The Forest Creatures).

Ζει ο Βασιλιάς Αλέξανδρος;
Σύμβολο της πόλης η "Γοργόνα Θεσσαλονίκη" - Καμιά άλλη πόλη στον κόσμο
δεν έχει για το όνομά της μια τόσο όμορφη, τρυφερή και ρομαντική ιστορία, όπως
αυτή της πόλης της Θεσσαλονίκης. - Το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Επικοινωνίας στην 80η
Διεθνή Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης - Μεγάλη έκθεση ξυλόγλυπτων δημιουργιών.
Το ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΚΕΝΤΡΟ ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΑΣ στο πλαίσιο της συμμετοχής του στην 80η Διεθνή Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης, σε εκδήλωση που πραγματοποιήθηκε με εξαιρετική επιτυχία στο περίπτερο 15 της ΔΕΘ ζήτησε από τους φορείς της πολιτείας να θεσπισθεί ως σύμβολο της πόλης μας η "ΓΟΡΓΟΝΑ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ"η αδελφή του Μέγα Αλέξανδρου, ξαναθυμίζοντας στους Θεσσαλονικείς τον γνωστό μύθο, που όταν πληροφορήθηκε το θάνατο του αδελφού της η πανέμορφη ετεροθαλής αδελφή του η Θεσσαλονίκη, απο τη θλύψη της έπεσε στον Θερμαϊκό κόλπο και η Ολυμπιάδα την μεταμόρφωσε σε γοργόνα. Από τότε, μια γοργόνα εμφανίζεται στο Αιγαίο Πέλαγος και ρωτάει τους ναυτικούς "Ζει ο βασιλιάς Αλέξανδρος;"... Αν αυτοί της απαντήσουν ότι δεν ζει, τότε από τη θλίψη της σηκώνει με την ουρά της τεράστια κύματα και βουλιάζει το καράβι. Αν της απαντήσουν ότι "Ζει και βασιλεύει"τότε από τη χαρά της τους αφήνει να συνεχίσουν το ταξίδι τους...
Ο πρόεδρος του Ελληνικού Κέντρου Επικοινωνίας κ. Ντίνος Κωστόπουλος στην ομιλία του τόνισε ότι "Καμιά άλλη πόλη στον κόσμο ολόκληρο, δεν έχει για το όνομά της μια τόσο όμορφη, τρυφερή και ρομαντική ιστορία, όπως αυτή της πόλης μας της Θεσσαλονίκης". Όπως χαρακτηριστικά είπε "Η Γοργόνα Θεσσαλονίκη περιμένει" την πολιτεία και τους φορείς της πόλης να την αναγνωρίσουν επίσημα ως σύμβολο της Θεσσαλονίκης και αυτό θα είναι και προς μεγάλο όφελος της τουριστικής ανάπτυξης, που τόσο ανάγκη το έχει άλλωστε, ειδικά τώρα που οι οικονομικές συγκυρίες το επιβάλλουν και αναζητούν ιδέες για περετέρω ανάπτυξη και δραστηριότητα. Το άγαλμα της "Γοργόνας Θεσσαλονίκης"της αδελφής του Μέγα Αλέξανδρου θα έπρεπε να ήταν τοποθετημένο στο λιμάνι ή στην παραλία της πόλης και αυτόν τον σκοπό θα επιδιώξει η προσπάθειά μας. Eυχαριστούμε την Διοίκηση της ΔΕΘ HELEXPO για την υποστήριξη και παραχώρηση του χώρου στην 80η ΔΕΘ καθώς επίσης και τις επιχειρήσεις που στήριξαν την πρωτοβουλία αυτή.
Ο πρόεδρος του Περιφερειακού Συμβουλίου της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας και Αντιπρόεδρος του ΕΛ.Κ.Ε. κ. Αντώνης Γυφτόπουλος τόνισε ότι το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Επικοινωνίας συνδέει αυτή την πρωτοβουλία του με την παρουσίαση των αντιγράφων των οκτώ περίτεχνων αγαλμάτων της Αρχαίας Αγοράς της Θεσσαλονίκης με τις "Μαγεμένες"που εκθέτει στο πλαίσιο της 80ης διοργάνωσής της η Διεθνής Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης, γιατί και οι δύο ιστορίες κατά τον μύθο αναφέρονται στην ίδια χρονική περίοδο του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου. Συνδέοντας τις "Μαγεμένες" με τη "Γοργόνα Θεσσαλονίκη"ως αναπόσπαστο κομάτι της ιστορίας της πόλης μας, το πρόσωπο "κλειδί"και στα δύο ιστορικά γεγονότα κατά τον μύθο, η Ολυμπιάδα, η μητέρα του Μέγα Αλέξανδρου, η οποία ήταν ημίθεη και μεγάλη μάγισσα της εποχής, στις "Μαγεμένες"η Ολυμπιάδα τιμώρησε και μαρμάρωσε τους πρωταγωνιστές της σκευωρίας κατά του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, ενώ την ετεροθαλή αδελφή του την ωραία Θεσσαλονίκη, την ...λυπήθηκε και την μεταμόρφωσε σε γοργόνα! .
Στο πλαίσιο της εκδήλωσης στο περίπτερο 15 σε όλη τη διάρκεια της ΔΕΘ από 5 - 13 Σεπτεμβρίου οι Θεσσαλονικείς μπορούν να επισκεφθούν την πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα έκθεση μοναδικών και περίτεχνων ξυλόγλυπτων δημιουργιών της Στεφανίας και του Δημήτρη Γαρδικιώτη - με θέμα την "Γοργόνα Θεσσαλονίκη". Τα μοναδικής τεχνοτροπίας έργα των δύο δημιουργών έχουν παρουσιασθεί στην Αθήνα, στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στη Χαλκιδική, στην Τήνο και σε πολλές ακόμη πόλεις της Μακεδονίας. Όπως επίσης και σε πολλές πόλεις του εξωτερικού, στο Βερολίνο, στο Πόρτο Φίνο της Ιταλίας και στο Νιού Τζέρσεϋ της Αμερικής. Η εξειδίκευσή τους, στις ξυλόγλυπτες εικόνες που αναδύουν έντονο Αγιορείτικο Πνεύμα, παρουσιάζει ιδιαίτερο καλλιτεχνικό ενδιαφέρον, αφού μέχρι τώρα παρόμοιες δημιουργίες δεν συνατάμε συχνά. Η τεχνοτροπία τους βασισμένη σε μακρόχρονη και επίπονη επεξεργασία, μαζί με το αισθητικό και καλλιτεχνικό αποτέλεσμα, κάνουν το έργο τους πραγματικά μοναδικό.

Την εκδήλωση χαιρέτισαν ο Δήμαρχος Θεσσαλονίκης κ. Γιάννης Μπουτάρης και ο Αντιδήμαρχος Τουρισμού & Διεθνών Σχέσεων του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης κ. Σπύρος Πέγκας, και τίμησαν με την παρουσία τους η Υποπρόξενος της Τουρκίας στη Θεσσαλονίκη κα Nalan Akakça, ο Πρόεδρος του Ομίλου κ. Μπόρις Μουζενίδης, ο Πρόεδρος & Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Ellinair κ. Ιωάννης Μουζενίδης, καθώς και πλήθος εκπροσώπων των τουριστικών πρακτορείων της Βόρειας Ελλάδας.
Η «Μαγική Σμύρνη» είναι το πρώτο τουριστικό πακέτο 4 ημερών που παρουσίασε ο κ. 1321: "πεθαίνει σε ηλικία 56 ετών στη Ραβένα της Ιταλίας ο Δάντης Αλιγκιέρι, Ιταλός ποιητής, ηθικός φιλόσοφος, πολιτικός θεωρητικός και συγγραφέας της ""Θείας Κωμωδίας""."
1741: "ο Γερμανός συνθέτης Γκέοργκ Φρίντριχ Χέντελ, έπειτα από 23 ημέρες ακατάπαυστης δουλειάς, ολοκληρώνει τον ""Μεσσία"", το κορυφαίο ορατόριο του."

1812: ο στρατός του Ναπολέοντα μπαίνει στην Μόσχα. Η πολυπόθητη νίκη του Γάλλου στρατάρχη είναι πικρή. 1921: ο βασιλιάς Κωνσταντίνος αναχωρεί για την Αθήνα, μετά από πολύμηνη παραμονή στη Μικρά Ασία. Η αναχώρησή του κρίνεται αναγκαία, μετά την ολοκλήρωση της υποχώρησης του ελληνικού στρατού από την ανατολική και δυτική όχθη του Σαγγάριου Ποταμού.
1923: ο Μιγκέλ Πρίμο δε Ριβέρα γίνεται δικτάτορας της Ισπανίας.
1925: αρχίζει στο Παρίσι, στην γκαλερί Πιερ Λεμπ, η πρώτη συλλογική έκθεση σουρεαλιστών ζωγράφων, με έργα των Μαξ Ερνστ, Χουάν Μιρό, Πάμπλο Πικάσο, Τζόρτζιο Ντε Κίρικο, Χανς Αρπ και Μαν Ρέι.

Κυκλάδες Η χώρα μας διαθέτει δεκάδες υπέροχα νησιά, με τις Κυκλάδες να ξεχωρίζουν για το απίστευτο γαλάζιο και λευκό τους χρώμα, την υπέροχη θέα στο Αιγαίο και τη νυχτερινή τους ζωή. Έλληνας σκηνοθέτης του κινηματογράφου, γνωστός για τις ταινίες του «Το νησί της Αφροδίτης», «Ντάμα σπαθί» και «Επιχείρηση Απόλλων».
Ο Γιώργος Σκαλενάκης γεννήθηκε στις 17 Μαΐου 1926 στο Πορτ Σάιντ της Αιγύπτου. Σπούδασε στην περίφημη Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου της Πράγας (FAMU) με συμμαθητή τον Μίλος Φόρμαν και μετά την αποφοίτησή του γύρισε μία σειρά από ταινίες μικρού μήκους που διακρίθηκαν σε διεθνή φεστιβάλ.
Το 1963 γύρισε στην Τσεχοσλοβακία την πρώτη μεγάλου μήκους ταινία του, με τίτλο «Τα Μπλουζ της Πράγας», ένα «ψυχολογικό τζαζ μιούζικαλ», όπως τη χαρακτήρισε ο ίδιος. Τον Αύγουστο του 1965, ύστερα από πρόσκληση της εταιρείας «Δαμασκηνός – Μιχαηλίδης», ήλθε στην Ελλάδα και τον επόμενο χρόνο σκηνοθέτησε την πρώτη του μεγάλου μήκους ελληνική ταινία «Διπλοπενιές», με πρωταγωνιστές την Αλίκη Βουγιουκλάκη και τον Δημήτρη Παπαμιχαήλ.
Ακολούθησαν οι ταινίες «Ντάμα Σπαθί» (1966), καλλιτεχνική επιτυχία του σκηνοθέτη με συμμετοχή στο Φεστιβάλ του Σικάγου, «Αχ αυτή η γυναίκα μου» (1967), «Επιχείρηση Απόλλων» (1968), «Βυζαντινή Ραψωδία» (1968), «Θυμήσου αγάπη μου» (1969) και «Το νησί της Αφροδίτης» (1969) με θέμα τον απελευθερωτικό αγώνα της ΕΟΚΑ στην Κύπρο, στην οποία πρωταγωνίστησε η Κατίνα Παξινού, στη μοναδική της εμφάνιση σε ελληνική ταινία.
Πολλές από τις ταινίες του Σκαλενάκη είχαν ως φόντο τους το Ναύπλιο, μία πόλη, που είχε χαραχθεί στην ψυχή του. «Βρήκα το ρωμαίικο στο Ναύπλιο. Ό,τι σύγχρονο ρωμαίικο υπάρχει περνάει μέσα από αυτή την πόλη» είχε δηλώσει σε μία συνέντευξή του στην εφημερίδα «Το Βήμα της Κυριακής» (φ.16311 / 25 Αυγούστου 2013).
Εργάσθηκε, επίσης, στην ελληνική τηλεόραση και σκηνοθέτησε πολλές τηλεοπτικές σειρές, από τις οποίες ξεχώρισε η διεθνής συμπαραγωγή της ΥΕΝΕΔ με τίτλο «Κατοχή», στην οποία πρωταγωνιστούσαν οι γνωστοί ηθοποιοί Κλάους Κίνσκι, Κουρτ Γιούργκενς και Μαρία Σελ. Από το 1975 δίδασκε την κινηματογραφική τέχνη στη Σχολή Σταυράκου.
Ο Γιώργος Σκαλενάκης πέθανε στις 14 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014, σε ηλικία 88 ετών.

216.364 επισκέπτες στην 80ηΔΕΘ
Η επετειακή 80ή ΔΕΘ κέρδισε το στοίχημα της επισκεψιμότητας, παρασύροντας με τη γιορτινή της διάθεση τον κόσμο. Για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά ξεπεράστηκε το φράγμα των 200.000 επισκεπτών, με τη φετινή διοργάνωση να πετυχαίνει εξαψήφιο νούμερο σε ένα ιδιαίτερα δύσκολο οικονομικό περιβάλλον και παρά τις αντιξοότητες όλου του τελευταίου διαστήματος. Η Θεσσαλονίκη «ψήφισε» ΔΕΘ, με 216.364 επισκέπτες να περνούν τις πύλες της 80ής διοργάνωσης. Ο κόσμος ανταποκρίθηκε με ενθουσιασμό στο κάλεσμα της ΔΕΘ-Helexpo, αλλά και στο πλούσιο πρόγραμμα της 80ής ΔΕΘ, που είχε τα πάντα, συνδυάζοντας αρμονικά το εμπορικό και επιχειρηματικό κομμάτι με τον πολιτισμό, την αναψυχή και την κοινωνική αλληλεγγύη. Ενδεικτικό είναι πως περίπου 170.000 άτομα επισκέφθηκαν τις «Μαγεμένες», οι οποίες μάγεψαν στην κυριολεξία το κοινό.
Η διοίκηση της ΔΕΘ-Helexpo και οι εργαζόμενοί της θα ήθελαν να ευχαριστήσουν τον κόσμο που σε μια δύσκολη οικονομική περίοδο για τη χώρα συμμετείχε στην 80ηΔΕΘ και στον εορτασμό του εθνικού εκθεσιακού φορέα για τα γενέθλια των 80 διοργανώσεων. Το ρολόι άρχισε ήδη να μετρά αντίστροφα για την 81ηΔΕΘ.
Το περίπτερο 3, όπου βρίσκονται οι «Μαγεμένες» και η έκθεση «Οι σημαντικότερες εφευρέσεις και τα μουσικά όργανα των Αρχαίων Ελλήνων» θα κλείσει για ένα μικρό διάστημα, ώστε να γίνουν εργασίες συντήρησης και στις αρχές Οκτωβρίου θα ανοίξει ξανά. Η μεν έκθεση των αρχαίων εφευρέσεων και των μουσικών οργάνων θα είναι ανοιχτή για σχολεία με ένα μικρό εισιτήριο, ενώ οι «Μαγεμένες» θα είναι επισκέψιμες δωρεάν, παραμένοντας στο Διεθνές Εκθεσιακό Κέντρο Θεσσαλονίκης μέχρις ότου το υπουργείο Πολιτισμού σε συνεργασία με τον κεντρικό δήμο και τους φορείς αποφασίσουν πού θα τοποθετηθούν. Τότε η ΔΕΘ-Helexpo θα τις χαρίσει στην πόλη. Οι ώρες λειτουργίας του περιπτέρου 3 θα ανακοινωθούν προσεχώς.

Ο Κόπερφιλντ νοικιάζει το νησί του για 50.000 ευρώ το βράδυ
Γαλάζια νερά, πράσινο, πέντε πολυτελή σπίτια και δεκάδες
χλιδάτες παροχές. Tο ιδιωτικό νησί του μάγου Ντέιβιντ
Κόπερφιλντ ανοίγει τις «πύλες» του για να σας φιλοξενήσει.
Ηταν το 2006, όταν ο διάσημος μάγος ξόδεψε περίπου 44 εκατ. ευρώ για να
αγοράσει το ιδιωτικό νησί Musha Cay, στη νότια πλευρά των Μπαχαμών.
Μετά από πέντε χρόνια και τουλάχιστον 35 εκατ. ευρώ για αναδιαμόρφωση και
ανακαίνιση του νησιού, ο Κόπερφιλντ δημιούργησε αυτό που αποκαλεί ως το
«πιο μαγικό μέρος διακοπών του πλανήτη».
Μάλιστα, έχει αποκτήσει 10 ακόμη κοντινά νησιά, σχηματίζοντας ένα πέλαγος,
γνωστό και ως «Islands of Copperfield Bay».
Εκεί, διακοπές έχουν κάνει η Οπρα Γουίνφρει, ο Μπιλ Γκειτς και ο Τζόνι Ντεπ.
Αν κάποιος επιθυμεί να βρεθεί σε αυτό το πανέμoρφο νησί, το μόνο που έχει να
κάνει είναι να απευθυνθεί στο HomeAway και να το νοικιάσει για περίπου 50.000 ευρώ
τη διανυκτέρευση.
Στο Musha Cay, θα μπορεί να έχει μια πολυτελή διαμονή, καθώς δεν του λείπει τίποτα.
Συνολικά μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει 24 καλεσμένους, παρέχοντας τους κάθε πολυτέλεια.

1962, The Four Seasons started a five week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Sherry', it made No.8 in the UK. They became the first American group to have three No.1's in succession. | |
1964, The Beatles, on tour in the USA, appeared at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio. During the performance a group of fans managed to break through the line of police fronting the stage and get up on-stage. Police ordered The Beatles off-stage in the middle of a song, and the concert only resumed after Derek Taylor got on the PA system and pleaded for order to be restored so that the rest of the performance would not be cancelled by the police. | |
1965, The Ford Motor Company became the first automaker to offer an 8-track tape player as an option for their entire line of vehicles on sale in the US. Tapes were initially only available at auto parts stores, as home 8-track equipment was still a year away. | |

2008, Pink Floyd keyboard player and founder member Rick Wright died aged 65 from cancer. Wright appeared on the group's first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, in 1967 alongside Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. David Gilmour who joined the band at the start of 1968 said: "He was such a lovely, gentle, genuine man and will be missed terribly by so many who loved him." In 2005, the full band reunited - for the first time in 24 years - for the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park.
