| Perry Como If I Loved You The Cast of Carousel Soliloquy Frank Sinatra You'll Never Work Alone Carousel was Rodgers and Hammerstein's second collaboration after OKLAHOMA. The trick here was to find an idea for a musical that would have the same or a larger impact than OKLAHOMA, and they found it. The Musical is based on a play by Ferenc Molnar',Liliom". Molnar's play is set in Budapest the biggest change that the musical team made was to move the play from it's original setting to the coastline of Maine. The rest of the story is basically the same except that Rodger's and Hammerstein made the ending a bit more hopeful. If I Loved You is a conversation between a man and woman in this case Billy and Julie. Both are describing what they would do if they loved the other person, and denying the feeling they obviously have for each other. The song tells a lot about each of the character of the individual and helps establish much of the story. Soliloquy is a song sung by the male lead, Billy Bigelow. Billy is a carnival barker for a Carousel who meets Julie Jordan a mill worker. They marry, although it is not the best of matches. Billy is a bit of a scoundrel and drinks a bit too much. He's not the most reliable of men either. Julie is the exact opposite. They begin their life together and Julie gets pregnant. Soliloquy is Billy's reaction to Julie's pregnancy. The song first tells of his excitement about having a boy, a fact he is not sure of, it then goes into what would happen if he had a…girl. He asks, "what would he do with her?" And what would he do with her? By the end of the song Billy vows to do whatever he has to raise the girl well. Billy and Julie do indeed have a girl, but he is not around to raise her. The interesting thing about Soliloquy is that was written as a cover song. There was a lengthy scene change in the play, the song was written to cover this time and was sung in front of a closed curtain. In the film the song is sung while Billy wonders around the Maine Coastline. You'll Never Walk Alone one of the most beautiful of Rodger's and Hammerstein's compositions, it can really only be compared to Climb Every Mountain which the team would write about 15 years later for The Sound Of Music. The songs are really both about standing with faith in times of great trouble. You'll Never walk Alone is written as a song of comfort for Julie after Billy is killed while attempting a robbery. Her cousin Letty sings this to tell her she will never be alone. The song is used quite often as a hymn in almost all denominations of Christianity. Dick Haymes It Might as Well Be Spring Rodger's and Hammerstein's hit OKLAHOMA did not go unnoticed by Hollywood. They tempted the team to go to California to write a score for a musical. The film was called State Fair. The story told of the Frake family's yearly trip to the Iowa State Fair. Each of the members is preoccupied with their own hopes of finding something special at that year's fair. The mother wants to win the prize for the best mince meat. This is helped by her husband secretly adding a large amount of brandy to the final product. Mrs. Frake then comes along and adds even more. Abel Frake, the dad, wants to win the prize for the best pig. The son Wayne wants to get even if with a barker who he feels cheated him at the previous years fair. And Margie has a decision to make. She has to decide if she will marry the boy who she isn't sure she loves.. She wants more than what he is. Her feelings are expressed in the song "It Might as Well be Spring." Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sister's Ac - cent - tchu - ate The Positive Written in 1944 by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer the song is essentially a sermon set to music using the examples of old testament heroes like Noah and Jonah focusing on the positive of the things when life throws hard situations at us. It, however was not copyrighted, by the composers in The United Sates, The copyright was done by an entertainer and future co-star of the Dick Van Dyke Show, Morey Amsterdam. When the Andrews Sisters made their recording, the single spent ten weeks on top of The Billboard Charts. Harry James It's Been A Long Long Time The music for this song was written by Jule Styne with lyrics by Sammy Kahn. The song would become a major hit as its theme was a lover welcoming their partner home after the war. The song could be sung from either a male or female perspective, so, though the first recording that reached # 1 on the charts was By Harry James with Vocals by Kitty Kallen, a second recording by Les Paul with Vocals by Bing Crosby would work it's way up the charts replacing the Harry James version. Les Brown and Doris Day Sentimental Journey Written by Les Brown and Ben Homer with lyrics by Arthur Greene, the song, with vocals by Doris Day, would hit #1, and stay 23 weeks on the charts. The song would be released at the end of WWII in Europe and would become one of the popularsongs associated with soldiers coming home from the war. Vaughn Monroe There I've Said It Again This was written by Redd Evans and David Mann. It's original popularity would start in 1945, but it was also a song that would signify the end of an era of music. Bobby Vinton would record the song is 1963 and it would hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and would remain there for four weeks. Πως μπορεί ένας αυθεντικός κωμικός, που λατρεύει τις πλάκες, να μετατραπεί σε πληθωρικό συνθέτη και να τραγουδήσει με πάθος και μέτρο μαζί ένα ποίημα του Νίκου Καββαδία; Ο Λευτέρης Ελευθερίου, που έγινε γνωστός στο πανελλήνιο με τη μίμηση του σέξι ημίγυμνου Σάκη Ρουβά, τα κατάφερε χθες βράδυ μιμούμενος συγκλονιστικά, ακόμα και με το ελαφρύ ψεύδισμα στο σ- τον Θάνο Μικρούτσικο.
Οι κριτές του σόου του ΑΝΤ1 Your face sounds familiar τον κοιτούσαν κυριολεκτικά με το στόμα ανοιχτό, ενώ η Μπέσυ Μάλφα βούρκωσε. Το δε κοινό χειροκροτούσε συνεχώς, όρθιο τον απίστευτο Λευτέρη Ελευθερίου – ένα ταλέντο που ήρθε για να μείνει.

Σημερα, Δευτέρα στις 4 το απόγευμα, θα γίνει από τον Ιερό Ναό Αγίου Παντελεήμονα στην Καλαμαριά, η κηδεία του δημοσιογράφου Δημήτρη Χατζηπαρασκευά.
Ο γνωστός δημοσιογράφος έφυγε ξαφνικά χθες από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 74 ετών.
Ο Δημήτριος Χατζηπαρασκευάς γεννήθηκε το 1940 στον Βόλο και ήταν μέλος της ΕΣΗΕΜ-Θ από το 1971. Εργάστηκε στις εφημερίδες «Ελληνικός Βορράς», «Εσπερινή Ώρα», «Νέα Αλήθεια», «Μακεδονία» και «Σημερινά».
Επίσης εργάστηκε στην ΕΡΤ, στον ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό ΑΝΤ1 και στον δημοτικό ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό της Θεσσαλονίκης (FM 100).
Ο γνωστός δημοσιογράφος έφυγε ξαφνικά χθες από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 74 ετών.

GEORGE MICHAEL BEATS KYLIE
Michael recently told the Big Issue that he had stopped his drug-taking lifestyle and not used cannabis for "well over a year-and-a-half".George Michael's Symphonica has beaten Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once to the top of the UK album chart.
It is the former Wham! star's seventh solo number one.
"Thank you so much... it's so nice to be able to savour this wonderful moment. I am a lucky man," Michael told OfficialCharts.com.
His album sold just over 20,000 copies more than Minogue's. Meanwhile, Duke Dumont claimed his second Number one single with I Got U FT Jax Jones.
His last - Need U (100%) FT A*M*E - kept Ding Dong The Witch is Dead off the top of the album chart following the death of Margaret Thatcher.
The Human League landed their highest charting single in almost 20 years, following a campaign by fans of Aberdeen Football Club.
The group's 1981 Christmas Number 1, Don't You Want Me, has become a fan anthem and climbed to number 19 today following Aberdeen's Scottish League Cup win last weekend.
Charity singleSymphonica is Michael's first new album in nearly 10 years, and was recorded during the singer's 2011/12 world tour.
Route 94's My Love FT Jess Glynne kept its place at number two, while John Legend's ballad, All Of Me, climbed three places to third spot.
Pharrell Williams' Happy and last week's number one, Tsunami (Jump) by Dvbbs, Borgeous and Tinie Tempah, rounded out the top five.
Little Mix's official single for this year's Sport Relief, a cover of Cameo's Word Up, was the second highest new entry at number six.
On the album chart, Pharrell Williams' GIRL remained at number three, Paloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction dropped two places to number four, and last week's number one, Elbow's The Take Off And Landing Of Everything, fell to number five.

1946 Perry Como They Say It's Wonderful Les Brown I've got the Sun in the Morning Freddy Martin Doin What's Come Naturally Annie Get Your Gun was first performed in 1946. The book for the show was written by Dorothy and Herbert Fields and the music by Mr. Irving Berlin. The show was written for and starred Ethel Merman. Rodgers and Hammerstein would be the producers of this Musical whose music would stay part of American culture. Annie get your gun told a fictional version of the life of Annie Oakley who was a female sharp shooter for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The musical centered on her romance with another star of the show Frank Butler. The show would run on Broadway for 1147 performances. The show would be revived several times with such stars as Mary Martin. Olympic athlete Kathy Rigby, and more than once with Ethel Merman. The movie would be attempted to be made with Judy Garland, but sadly her personal issues did not allow her to complete the project although she had already recorded the soundtrack. Garland was replaced with Betty Hutton. The three songs above were part of the Irving Berlin score and remain American standards. The one not mentioned on the list for the top songs 0f 1946, but still became part of America's Theater history if not the anthem for all performers is There's No Business Like Show Business. Bing Crosby and the Jesters McNamara's Band Written in 1945 by O'Connor and Stamford this song would go up into the top ten for Bing Crosby in 1956. The song was the story of a small Irish band led of course by McNamara. The song was based on an actual Irish band of the same name. It is another standard that Irish Americans have adapted as their own, especially on St.Patrick's Day. Dixie Hummingbirds Amazing Grace This song may be as popular as it's source, which is the Bible. It's author was John Newton a Slave Trader who, one day, was caught in a terrible storm at sea, he prayed for God's Mercy. God answered Newton's Prayer. A year or so later Newton gave up the slave trade and began to study theology; he would eventually pastor a church. Newton with his friend William Cowper wrote the lyrics for Newton's sermon for January 1, 1773. However it was more than likely chanted and not actually sung. Music would be added and different tunes used. It was in 1835 that the song was married to the tune, New Britain, which is the version we know today. For TV comedy fans the lyrics can be sung exactly to the tune of the theme of Gilligan's Island. It is estimated that Amazing Grace is performed around 10 million times annually. William Wilberforce, who would be one of the main players in the freeing of the slaves in Britain, was a friend of Newton's and was influenced and encouraged by him. Eddie Howard I Love You For Sentimental Reasons The song was written in 1945 by William Best. Deek Watson is credited as also being part of the creation of the song, although there is some dispute about this. The song has been recorded and rerecorded throughout the century into the next. Dean Martin, Linda Ronstadt and Kathy Lee Gifford would all record this American Standard. The film starred Judy Garland as well her co-star from The Wizard of Oz Ray Bolger. Angela Lansbury, at the time a part of MGMs Galaxy of Stars, also had a featured role in the film. On The Atchison Topeka and The Santa Fe was a production number sung when the ladies arrive at their new home in the west. Nat King Cole Get Your Kicks on Route 66 The song, for the most part, is known by just part of it's title, Route 66. It was composed in 1946 by Bobby Troupe and recorded that same year by Nat King Cole. Troupe got his inspiration for the song while driving across country from Pennsylvania to California. He used Route 66 for most of the journey and lists all the places the road passes thru. The song has been recorded by such artists as different as Natalie Cole and Aerosmith. Johnny Mercer Zip a Dee Do Dah Walt Disney animation has brought to the world many songs. Love songs, fun songsand sad songs. The Disney Studios is also responsible for the song" Zip a Dee Do Dah". The music is by Allie Wrubel and the lyrics by Ray Gilbert. The movie was animated and live action and was called "Song of The South." Song of the South told the folk stories of Uncle Remus and was popular for it's time, unfortunately for modern movie enthusiasts the movie is locked in the Disney vaults and not available in this country. Uncle Remus was a slave and told his stories to his owners children in the film. It seems that telling his stories, in this way, has become politically incorrect. 25 ΜΑΡΤΙΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΜΠΑΚΑΛΙΑΡΟΣ
Ως έθιμο για τον εορτασμό της 25ης Μαρτίου καθιερώθηκε και ο μπακαλιάρος με σκορδαλιά. Κατά τη διάρκεια της Σαρακοστής, η Εκκλησία επέτρεπε στους πιστούς να φάνε ψάρι μόνο δύο φορές, του Ευαγγελισμού και την Κυριακή των Βαΐων.
Η ιστορία του μπακαλιάρου ξεκινάει με την εποχή των Βίκινγκς, όπου πρωτοεμφανίστηκε σαν εμπορικό προϊόν περί το 800 μ.Χ. Μάλιστα, λέγεται ότι κυνηγώντας βακαλάους, οι Βίκινγκς ανακάλυψαν κατά λάθος το «νέο κόσμο».
Πρώτοι τον πάστωσαν οι Βάσκοι, που ξεκίνησαν το εμπόριο του μπακαλιάρου από το Μεσαίωνα και τον ονόμασαν «ψάρι του βουνού», ενώ στη χώρα μας, ήρθε τον 15ο αιώνα και στο ελληνικό τραπέζι μπήκε κατά τη διάρκεια της σαρακοστιανής νηστείας.
Με εξαίρεση τα νησιά, όπου υπήρχε πάντα φρέσκο ψάρι, στην υπόλοιπη Ελλάδα ο παστός μπακαλιάρος ήταν η φθηνή και εύκολη λύση.
Ιστορικά, εκείνοι που έστελναν στην Ελλάδα μεγάλες ποσότητες μπακαλιάρου ήταν οι Άγγλοι, οι οποίοι τον αντάλλασσαν με σταφίδες.

25 ΜΑΡΤΙΟΥ-Η ΗΜΕΡΑ ΕΥΑΓΓΕΛΙΣΜΟΥ ΤΗΣ ΘΕΟΤΟΚΟΥ
Ημέρα εορτασμού της επανάστασης του 1821 αλλά και ημέρα του Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου.Οι λόγοι που «επέβαλλαν» τον κοινό εορτασμό τους είναι διάφοροι. Και βέβαια διαφορετικά είναι και τα έθιμα της ημέρας στη λαογραφική μας παράδοση.
Η θεομητορική Εορτή του Ευαγγελισμού που περιλαμβάνεται στο δωδεκάορτο είναι η μόνη από τις πέντε μεγάλες θεομητορικές εορτές που βασίζεται στην Καινή Διαθήκη. Οι υπόλοιπες βασίζονται στην απόκρυφη γραμματεία. Πότε άρχισε να εορτάζεται ο Ευαγγελισμός δεν γνωρίζουμε. Εμφανίζεται η εορτή στη Συρία, την Μ. Ασία και την Κωνσταντινούπολη πριν το 431. Το 560 ο Ιουστιανιανός ο Α'πρόβαλε την 25η Μαρτίου ως την κατάλληλη ημέρα για τον εορτασμό του Ευαγγελισμού.
Υπήρχαν οι έξης βασικοί λόγοι για την καθιέρωση της 25 Μαρτίου ως ημέρας εορτασμού του Ευαγγελισμού.
Η ήμερα της συλλήψεως του Ιωάννη του Προδρόμου (24 Σεπτεμβρίου) συνέπιπτε με τη φθινοπωρινή ισημερία, δεδομένου ότι την ήμερα αύτη, που οι Εβραίοι εόρταζαν την εορτή του Εξιλασμού, δέχθηκε ο Ζαχαρίας από τον αρχάγγελο Γαβριήλ το μήνυμα ότι θα αποκτήσει γιό.
Επομένως, εφόσον κατά το Λκ. 1, 26 ο Ευαγγελισμός έγινε έξι μήνες αργότερα, η ημερομηνία αύτη συνέπιπτε με την εαρινή ισημερία, δηλαδή στις 25 Μαρτίου, και η Γέννηση του Χριστού καθορίστηκε εννέα μήνες μετά, δηλαδή στις 25 Δεκεμβρίου, στο χειμερινό ηλιοστάσιο.
Επί πλέον είχε επικρατήσει η άποψη ότι ο θάνατος του Χριστού συνέβη στις 25 Μαρτίου και επειδή ο Κύριος, ως τέλειος κατά πάντα άνθρωπος, «έσχεν επίγειον βίον καθοριζόμενον από ακριβή αριθμόν ετών», έπρεπε να είχε συλληφθεί την ήμερα του σταυρικού θανάτου του. Τέλος η 25 Μαρτίου πίστευαν ότι ήταν η πρώτη ήμερα του κόσμου και ως εκ τούτου θα έπρεπε να είναι και η ήμερα της Γεννήσεώς του.
Η χαρμόσυνη εορτή εορτάζεται μέσα στη Μ. Τεσσαρακοστή, περίοδο πένθους, κατά την οποία απαγορεύεται η τέλεση εορτών και πανηγύρεων. Με τον 52ο κανόνα της Πενθέκτης Οικ. Συνόδου επιτράπηκε ως εξαίρεση η εορτή του Ευαγγελισμού κατά την οποία τελείται η θεία λειτουργία του Αγ. Ιωάννου του Χρυσοστόμου και όχι η λειτουργία των προηγιασμένων. Κατά την εορτή τρώνε ψάρι και στην περίπτωση ακόμη που ο Ευαγγελισμός πέσει μέσα στην Μ.Εβδομάδα (5ος Κανών Νικηφόρου του Ομολογητή).
Στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, κατά το έθιμο, την ήμερα του Ευαγγελισμού ο αυτοκράτορας με πομπή από την Αγία Σοφία πήγαινε στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Κωνσταντίνου εν τω Φόρω και από εκεί κατέληγε στο ναό της Θεοτόκου των Χαλκοπρατείων, όπου γινόταν μεγαλοπρεπής εορτασμός.
Στην ελληνική λαογραφική παράδοση τα έθιμα που σχετίζονται με την εορτή του Ευαγγελισμού βασίζονται στην αντίληψη ότι με την εορτή αύτη αρχίζει η άνοιξη και επιστρέφουν τα χελιδόνια. Γι'αυτό τα παιδιά βγάζουν από το χέρι τους τον «Μάρτη» και τον αφήνουν στα δέντρα να τον πάρουν τα χελιδόνια.
Σε πολλά μέρη υποδέχονται την 25η Μαρτίου με τραγούδια και με κωδωνισμούς επιδιώκουν να εκδιώξουν τα ερπετά, οι νοικοκυρές δεν κάνουν δουλειές στο σπίτι ή ζυμώνουν μικρές πίτες και βάζουν σε μια απ'αυτές ένα νόμισμα, για να το βρει ο τυχερός, όπως στην Πρωτοχρονιά. Οι μελισσοτρόφοι πρωτοβγάζουν τις κυψέλες στο ύπαιθρο, οι κτηνοτρόφοι μετακινούν τα κοπάδια τους από τα χειμαδιά στα ορεινά μέρη, οι Σαρακατσάνοι «αρματώνουν» τα κοπάδια τους με τα κυπροκούδουνα κ.ά.»

ΣΤΟ ΝΟΣΟΚΟΜΕΙΟ ΜΕ ΠΝΕΥΜΟΝΙΑ Ο ΛΑΖΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ
Εκτάκτως στο νοσοκομείο μεταφέρθηκε ο Λάκης Λαζόπουλος , όπου διαγνώσθηκε με πνευμονία.Εξακολουθεί να νοσηλεύεται σε ιδιωτικό θεραπευτήριο της Αθήνας.
Ο δημοφιλής καλλιτέχνης βρισκόταν στην βορειοελλαδικη πρωτευουσα οπου ολοκλήρωσε τις εμφανίσεις του, με την παράσταση «Sorry, I am Greek». Παρά τον πυρετό που ανέβασε την Κυριακη αποφάσισε να μην αναβάλλει την παράσταση.
Χθες αισθανόμενος λίγο καλύτερα επέστρεψε στην Αθήνα οδικώς από τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Όμως ανέβασε ακόμη πιο υψηλό πυρετό, γι’ αυτό και συνεργάτες του τον μετέφεραν σε ιδιωτικό νοσοκομείο στην Αθήνα, όπου διαπιστώθηκε με πνευμονία.
Κρίθηκε απαραίτητο να μείνει στο ιδιωτικό νοσοκομείο, προκειμένου να του χορηγηθεί φαρμακευτική αγωγή.

ΠΕΘΑΝΕ Η ΠΑΤΡΙΣ ΓΟΥΑΙΜΟΡ
Απεβίωσε σε ηλικία 87 ετών η Αμερικανίδα ηθοποιός Πατρίς Γουάιμορ, σύζυγος του αείμνηστου ηθοποιού, Έρολ Φλιν, ανακοίνωσε χτες εκπρόσωπος της οικογένειάς της.
Η Γουάιμορ άφησε την τελευταία της πνοή το Σάββατο στο ράντσο της στο Πόρτλαντ της Τζαμάικα, δήλωσε ο Ρομπι Κάλαχαν, εκπρόσωπος της οικογένειας Φλιν.
Η ηθοποιός, γεννημένη στο Κάνσας, ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της στο Broadway και το 1950γνώρισε τον Φλιν στα γυρίσματα της ταινίας «Rocky Mountain».
Το ζευγάρι παντρεύτηκε στα τέλη του 1950 και απέκτησαν μία κόρη. Ο Φλιν απεβίωσε το 1959, ωστόσο η Γουάιμορ δεν ξαναπαντρεύτηκε.

Ο Θανάσης Πολυκανδριώτης θα παραδώσει σεμινάρια μπουζουκιού στις 28 Μαρτίου στο ΜΜΘ (τηλ. 2310/895.938-9), ενώ θα εμφανιστεί στο Μέγαρο με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα στις 26 Μαρτίου και με το Μουσικό Σχολείο Σιάτιστας στις 27 Μαρτίου.

ΣΑΡΩΤΙΚΑ ΝΟΥΜΕΡΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ HAPPY DAY
Τέτοια αποδοχή σε τηλεθέαση και κριτικές δεν θα τις περίμενε ούτε το κανάλι ούτε και η ίδια η παρουσιάστρια. Είναι πλέον γεγονός. H νέα εκπομπή κάνει τη διαφορά σε επίπεδο προσέγγισης και εύρους της θεματολογίας της. Η εκρηκτική Σταματίνα Τσιμτσιλή δικαιώνεται εμφατικά αποδεικνύοντας για ποιον λόγο θεωρείται το πιο ολοκληρωμένο τηλεοπτικά πρόσωπο της ηλικίας της.
Από την άλλη ο Alpha, έκανε μια κίνηση-ματ. Ενεργοποίησε μια ζώνη που δεν είχε τα τελευταία χρόνια, με ύφος που του ταιριάζει και αρέσει στους τηλεθεατές. Όσο για άλλες παρουσιάστριες του σταθμού που ονειρεύονται εκπομπές ή πιστεύουν ότι μπορούν να υποστηρίξουν; Προς το παρόν, δεν διαφαίνεται κάτι τέτοιο. Άλλωστε, αν τους είχαν εμπιστοσύνη θα τους είχαν δώσει ήδη εκπομπή. Δεν θα επιστράτευαν την εντυπωσιακά φορμαρισμένη Σταματίνα Τσιμτσιλή. Οπότε, οι συμπαθητικές κατά τα άλλα Μαρία Ηλιάκη και Κατερίνα Καινούργιου, που πρόσφατα έκαναν σχετικές δηλώσεις, βασίζουν το τηλεοπτικό τους μέλλον στις ..ορέξεις και τα πλάνα του Νίκου Μουτσινά. Τουλάχιστον, μέχρις ώρας.

ΚΑΤΕΔΑΦΙΖΟΥΝ ΣΗΜΑΝΤΙΚΗ ΑΕΡΟΓΕΦΥΡΑ
Η Ριζοσπαστική Αριστερή Ενότητα εκφράζει την αντίθεσή της με τα σχέδια κατεδάφισης της γέφυρας που συνδέει τον Κορινό Πιερίας με την Εθνική Οδό, την Παλαιά Εθνική Οδό και την Κατερίνη, από την «Αυτοκινητόδρομος ΑΙΓΑΙΟΝ».
Οι κάτοικοι του Κορινού και της Πιερίας πληροφορήθηκαν μόλις την τελευταία στιγμή για τις προθέσεις της παραχωρησιούχου εταιρείας να γκρεμίσει την αερογέφυρα την επόμενη εβδομάδα (1η Απριλίου), χωρίς καμιά επίσημη ενημέρωση, χωρίς συζήτηση και διαβούλευση με του φορείς, αποκόπτοντας έτσι τον Κορινό από την Εθνική Οδό και την Παλαιά Εθνική Οδό. Αποκόπτοντας τους κατοίκους από τα χωράφια και τις επιχειρήσεις τους τουλάχιστον για 16 μήνες. Απομονώνοντας και την Παραλία με συνέπειες και στην τουριστική κίνηση της περιοχής.
Ως τώρα, οι άμεσες αντιδράσεις των κατοίκων, φαίνεται να είχαν αποτέλεσμα την προσωρινή αναβολή της κατεδάφισης της γέφυρας που ανακοινώθηκε το Σάββατο.
Οι δραματικές επιπτώσεις από την κατεδάφιση της αεροφέγυρας θα μπορούσαν να αποφευχθούν αν υπήρχε ένα συγκεκριμένο σχέδιο προς το συμφέρον της ευρύτερης περιοχής, και όχι το κατά πως βολεύει την εταιρεία, όπως η κατασκευή της νέας γέφυρας πριν την καταστροφή της παλιάς και η κατασκευή του νέου ημικόμβου που προκύπτει από τις συμβατικές υποχρεώσεις της εταιρείας και ακόμη εκκρεμεί.
Σε κάθε περίπτωση καλούμε τους κατοίκους, τους φορείς της Πιερίας και τις δημοτικές αρχές σε επιφυλακή , ώστε να αποτρέψουν με αγωνιστικές κινητοποιήσεις τις επιδιώξεις των εργολάβων και των πολιτικών παραγόντων που απειλούν με απομόνωση την περιοχή του Κορινού Πιερίας. Τέλος καλούμε την Διοίκηση της Περιφέρειας να αναλάβει τις ευθύνες της και να ελέγχει ως οφείλει, τους εργολάβους στην επικράτειά τους.

9-18 ΜΑΙΟΥ SANI GOURMET
Ποια ήταν η επίδραση της Ασίας στην Ευρώπη; Πώς το ρύζι, για παράδειγμα, εξελίχθηκε μέσα από τις συνταγές της ευρωπαϊκής κουζίνας; Πώς τα ζυμαρικά και η σόγια ρίζωσαν στην γαστρονομική κουλτούρα κάθε χώρας; Χρησιμοποιούμε τα μπαχαρικά με τον ίδιο τρόπο όπως οι Ανατολίτες; Ποιες είναι οι ομοιότητες και οι διαφορές μας;
Αυτά και πολλά ακόμη ερωτήματα θα αποτελέσουν τη βάση του διαλόγου μεταξύ των προσκεκλημένων σεφ στο Sani Gourmet 2014, οι οποίοι θα φωτίσουν με τα μενού τους πτυχές μιας γαστρονομικής διαδρομής που χαράχτηκε μέσα στους αιώνες πάνω στο Δρόμο του Μεταξιού, ξεκινώντας από την Κίνα και, μέσω Ινδίας, Ιράν, Τουρκίας, Ελλάδας - για να αναφέρουμε κάποιους σταθμούς στην διαδρομή των Δρόμων του Μεταξιού- κατέληξε στην Ιταλία. Όλες αυτές οι διαφορετικές κουλτούρες θα μελετηθούν μέσα από γεύσεις και αρώματα που συνθέτουν πολλές διαφορετικές φιλοσοφίες, και όλες μαζί συνθέτουν το μωσαϊκό μιας γαστρονομίας τόσο ιδιαίτερης για κάθε χώρα ξεχωριστά, κι όμως με τόσα πολλά κοινά στοιχεία για όλες.
Αυτή η διαπίστωση αποτελεί και τον τελικό στόχο του Sani Gourmet 2012: να κατανοήσουμε ότι, τελικά, το φαγητό «δένει» πολιτισμικά την Ασία με την Ευρώπη. Mεταξύ των σεφ που θα λάβουν μέρος στο φετινό Sani Gourmet, έχουμε τον Jereme Leung, «Σεφ της Χρονιάς» από τον οδηγό Τime Οut του Πεκίνου, τον Riccardo Di Giacinto με 1 αστέρι Michelin από τη Ρώμη, τον Andrea Fusco, επίσης από τη Ρώμη με 1 Michelin επί τέσσερα συνεχή έτη (2011-2014), εργάστηκε για λογαριασμό σταρ όπως ο Αλμπέρτο Σόρντι και εκπροσώπων της μόδας όπως η Frida Giannini και οι οίκοι Valentino και Bulgari, τον δικό μας ''αλχημιστή''των γεύσεων, Χρύσανθο Καραμολέγκο ενώ από την γειτονική Τουρκία, θα μαγειρέψει ο Ugur Alparlan, αυθεντία στην Οθωμανική κουζίνα. To συνολικό πρόγραμμα της διοργάνωσης θα ανακοινωθεί σύντομα -
Αυτά και πολλά ακόμη ερωτήματα θα αποτελέσουν τη βάση του διαλόγου μεταξύ των προσκεκλημένων σεφ στο Sani Gourmet 2014, οι οποίοι θα φωτίσουν με τα μενού τους πτυχές μιας γαστρονομικής διαδρομής που χαράχτηκε μέσα στους αιώνες πάνω στο Δρόμο του Μεταξιού, ξεκινώντας από την Κίνα και, μέσω Ινδίας, Ιράν, Τουρκίας, Ελλάδας - για να αναφέρουμε κάποιους σταθμούς στην διαδρομή των Δρόμων του Μεταξιού- κατέληξε στην Ιταλία. Όλες αυτές οι διαφορετικές κουλτούρες θα μελετηθούν μέσα από γεύσεις και αρώματα που συνθέτουν πολλές διαφορετικές φιλοσοφίες, και όλες μαζί συνθέτουν το μωσαϊκό μιας γαστρονομίας τόσο ιδιαίτερης για κάθε χώρα ξεχωριστά, κι όμως με τόσα πολλά κοινά στοιχεία για όλες.
Αυτή η διαπίστωση αποτελεί και τον τελικό στόχο του Sani Gourmet 2012: να κατανοήσουμε ότι, τελικά, το φαγητό «δένει» πολιτισμικά την Ασία με την Ευρώπη.
